Yep and Florida wouldn't give up 28 points to LSU

I didn’t say this.

How did that work out?

Albeit, Florida’s best pass rushers were out then, LSU’s O has been impressive so far including that game.

How much running does a team do after they get down by two scores?

But I was told LSU has a bad defense.

Not really. Gus only called long developing plays and we kept blitzing devin white. Gus is dumb and winless against the shrimp boat captain

I’ve seen a lot of stats thrown around about the Auburn defense, but I think the best quality of the Auburn defense, outside of the defensive line, is the team tackling. It is by far the best tackling Auburn team I have ever seen. This is especially true of our secondary. You expect linebackers and defensive lineman to make tackles, but our corners and safeties are fantastic at wrapping up playmakers in space.

There is no doubt Florida is the best defense LSU has faced, but I think this is a big difference between Florida and Auburn. Florida has struggled all season tackling and that was definitely the case against LSU. UF’s strength was pass rush and they were without their two best in that game.

Now in terms of stats, one stat I haven’t seen thrown out is defensive TD %. Auburn is ranked 4th in the country in that category. And that isn’t just a new thing this year. Auburn is ranked #1 in the country since Steele took over as DC. These are the two most important factors for Auburn in defense in my opinion. LSU is going to move the ball. The key is not allowing big plays, and holding LSU to field goals in the red zone. I understand LSU has been money in the red zone this year. Should be a fun matchup.

what if I told you using overall stats which ignore level of competition and game specific scenarios is a dumb way to measure how good a unit is?

LSU scored 35 of their 42 points while Zuniga was on the field.

And LSU cbs were mugging Auburn receivers. Let’s tell the whole story.

Well, the whole story is that Auburn lost to Ed Orgeron again, at home no less

Is it supposed to be a slight against LSU that they keep blowing everyone out?

Or wouldn’t you also agree that LSU’s passing defense may look better if their opponents weren’t always playing from behind and forced to throw?

TBH, I just wasn't sure -- wasn't going for a "gotcha". I figured AU would be better than LSU, but I was genuinely asking out of curiosity.

LSU should focus on running the ball all game to attack Auburn's overrated run defense, imo.

I don’t think you will find many Bama fans that disagree. If y’all can’t beat us this year you won’t for the next 5 years either. The steak may end but the dominance won’t.

I see it just the opposite. I think Bama’s domination of the SEC is coming to an end. I think they are 4 teams that are going to compete for the top spot the next few years

this is the best lsu team in breaking tackles/yac/yacatch that i have seen in a long, long time. maybe ever

the key is that nix just isn't much of a threat to beat anyone passing which makes auburn one dimensional. lsu will have more opportunities to score than auburn.

Yep and I do admit he played well against the run. We chipped him a lot to keep him from getting outside a Charles also. That slowed his pass rush. And he couldnt bull through Charles. Our Oline is pretty stout with Ingram and Charles and Magee in there

So is LSU supposed to not score in order for the other team to establish their running game?

Was one of them Kylin Hill? LSU trashed him as well.

Who was the other?
