Better yet why are we assuming it’s not racist? Because Gertrude appears to be a white woman, and therefore has to be married to a white man? That thought pattern is racist as hell

So if she was married to a black man, that wouldn’t be racist bc she married him. If she is married to a white man it isn’t racist bc it has nothing to do with blacks. Either way it isn’t racist.
