Everyone expects Bama to whip PSU. Better question may be, what happens if PSU strolls into Bryant-Denny and walks away with a victory, with a Freshman starting QB? Will the Bama Nation implode?

I know it's hard for you guys to believe this, but the true freshman absolutely gives PSU a better chance at winning. The playbook wasn't getting opened up even if it was Bolden or Newsome. So, why not go with the better looking QB?

If Bama whips PSU (wins by 2 scores), then they will have done exactly what they were supposed to do.

Regardless of what happens in this game, Penn State is still a 9 win team in the Big Televen.

it would be pretty impressive, because when you think about it, offensively Bama has more of a Big 10 offense. power, smashmouth football. So that means that Penn State's defense is geared and built to stop the kind of offense Bama runs. and let's face it - if bama whips up on penn state that means they will be rolling over them.

Alabama's defense is much more aggressive than a big 10, but they will have to contend with a mobile, running QB.

I would expect a close game, and have to favor bama to win. a penn state win wouldn't be a huge upset, though.

Alabama is the defending National Champions playing at home. Penn State is about the 4th or 5th best team in the Big 10 this year and starting a freshman QB. NO WAY Penn State should even be in this game.

What if?

I don't see this game being close. Penn State blows.
(1) Bama will win.
(2) Bama will cover the spread.
(3) And Bama will not make people who bet on the spread particulary nervous. They'll cover it easily.

won't change my thinking... will just confirm they have the ability to win all their games

Barring another RB injury I don't think they miss Ingram much

generally speaking the 4th or 5th best team in teh SEC has a chance to give bama a game or beat them... no reason PSU doesn't have a similar chance

If Bama can run up the score? They will tho
