Then they lost badger. Then the new QB wasn't so great. Injuries etc.

Its just been a bad year all the way around.

This. We lose multiple starters, including the heisman finalist a month before the season, and we play at Auburn (when they had something to play for), at UF, Carolina, and at A&M...yet, we're still 7-1 ? I can't imagine where we'd be if Wing and Beckham decided to not suck and we were healthy...well, probably 8-0.

He's Australian. Obviously it's lingering jet-lag effects from when he flew back to campus in August.

I've met him a couple of times. Kind of a goof ball (happy-go-lucky?). It's probably just a matter of focus.

The biggest dropoff has been their performance in the red zone. Last year, they were 11th in scoring TDs inside the red zone. This year, they are 111th. By contrast, Alabama has been the exact opposite. They were 91st in TD% inside the red zone last year. This year, they are 11th. That statistic alone should be all the proof Bama fans need that Nussmeier is a huge improvement over McElwain.

We are missing 8 starters from our projected 2 deep including an all American left tackle, all American heisman finalist, and starting running back. Last year we had one offensive line combination the whole year. This year we have already had 6. It is actually pretty easy to see. This disruption has made our play very inconsistent this year.

we have the 2010 Bama syndrome except w/o coming off a title. Luckily for us, we're still in the hunt for the crystal this late in the season

So was 2010 Bama.

Is it mainly an ineffective offense, due to Oline injuries, dropped passes, below average QB play and ineffective play calling.

Too logical. He really, really wants you to say that Bama is a program killer.

On offense we lost our LT, RG, RT, best RB and our C for a few games. On defense we lose 2 starting LB's and the best playmaker in the country. Throw in some very suspect playcalling and poor receiver play and I can't believe we are 7-1. There are few, if any, teams that could lose that and still survive in the SEC.

LSU beats an explosive A&M team 24-19, coming from behind after being the beneficiary of 4 A&M turnovers.

While I agree with most of your post I do not agree about the A&M game!

So LSU didn't cause any of those turnovers did they? Only BAMA's defense is good enough to cause turnovers everyone else it the beneficiary of them?

Did you ever think that is what LSU's game plan against QB's and offenses like theirs? I can only think of one turnover that was given everything else LSU caused!

Well, being that we only have 6 starters remaining from the 2011 team might have something to do with it. This team has a lot of heart and will fight their asses off Saturday. Just don't think it will be enough in the long run though, just too many losses
