While winning another natty would make me happy as an Alabama fan, I will be far happier that all fans of this great sport can rest a little easier knowing that despite all of the jarring changes we have seen, nothing has really changed.
Yeah I'm sure bama winning a NC would put everyone's minds at ease lmao

The meaning would be similar to Cinderella teams winning the NCAA Basketball Championship.
Basically, it's not always the team that has the best regular season record but sometimes it's simply the team that is hitting on all cylinders at the end of the season.
I think this is less likely to happen in college football compared to basketball but it has happened.
A good example is LSU defeating OSU for the title in 2007 after losing to Kentucky and Arkansas in 2 overtime games during the regular season.

Serious question, what do you have against Milroe?
Well, if the rumors about the locker room are true concerning last year when he got benched, it doesn't shine a good light on him. Supposedly, there was a locker room insurrection (and, let's be honest, it was racially motivated) when LANK got benched for the USF game. The way the team performed for the back-up lends credence to the rumors. It was obvious the offense barely tried. Whether that revolt was initiated by him or not, it wasn't clear. But, if not, he could have shut it down quickly.
There were even rumors that these issues were still lingering for the new coach. If so, some of the Bama fans distate isn't confined to on field issues.

Your team also sucks and hasn't been relevant in 10 years. That might also have something to do with it
We will see.
I doubt it ever means as much to an older guy as it once did.
I’m glad people enjoy a distraction from life. Football is fun to watch, but it i would rather play golf on a pretty fall day than sit in a stadium or in front of a TV.
I still watch football, but mostly on rainy days or night games.
If Auburn never wins another game, I want be any richer or poorer. If Auburn wins multiple national championships it will not change my personal life. It would give me momentary joy like any fan, but it won’t last forever.
Enjoy your team. Have fun.
I hope to watch some of the playoff games, but I’m on call the week on 20-27 December so I might not get to see Dixie’s football pride take the field at Notre Dame.
Were you an offensive or defensive letterman for the Tide?
How many rings did you get?

It’d be no different than the Giants winning the Super Bowl as a wildcard in ‘07, once you’re in, it’s just one game at a time for all involved.
Well, except for the defined rules and tiebreakers for division (conference) champs, wild cards and byes that make sense.
