2013 Defense
- 29 PPG (10th in SEC/ 79th nationally)
- 375 YPG (8th in SEC/ 45th nationally)

What would be a reasonable expectation for 2014, considering the number of starters returning and the changes in the defensive staff?... top half of the SEC?... top quarter?

IMO, I see UGA in the 24 PPG range and around 350 yards... a considerable increase from last year, but still probably a year or two away from gaining 'elite' status. Something to also keep in mind are the losses of Harvey-Clemons and Matthews.

Much improved. Guarding space and tackling is the key.

Less than 23 PPG is above average, usually.

I'd say anywhere from 20-24 PPG and the YPG will sit at 340-370.

Realistically, I expect the defense to be a lot better than last year. The safety position is a concern, but the Dawgs have a lot of depth at every other position. Pruitt is simplifying things, so we should our playmakers make plays.

If they can cut the 2013 national rankings in half (40th in scoring D and 23rd in YPG), I’ll be happy.

20 PPG would be a hell of an accomplishment... on par with what USCe did last year, who finished 2nd in the SEC. Bama was the only team below 20 PPG last season.

Defenses across the league will prbably see a nice decrease in their numbers due to all the top flight QBs leaving.

Without re-evaluating their depth chart. Id say better line and lb's questionable in the secondary

that's the thing that really made FSU's defense so great last year... will be interesting to see if UGA has the personnel in the backfield to pull off what Pruitt wants to do.

Front 7 only lost one starter and they played great last year. Pruitt just needs to fix the secondary.

Only kicks off on first offense when they steal from teammates like your qb did.

He is evaluating it. was only a misdemeanor. I'd expect he at least misses a game, dont think he will be kicked off
