MSU won the division once, over 15 years ago. Ole Miss has never.

MSU has won the SEC once, about 70 years ago. Ole Miss last won it roughly 50 years ago.

MSU has never won the national title. Ole Miss kinda sorta shared in one roughly 50 years ago.

With that having been said, what are the MSU and Ole Miss' fan bases honest expectations at this point for 2014? I'm not talking about what you HOPE will happen, I'm talking about what you honestly think will happen.

I'm leaning towards loss at Alabama, and going into the egg bowl 10-1.

beyond that, i don't know what to expect

Why no mention of how many times Ole Miss won the SEC? Which is 6 times.

Also, Ole Miss kinda sorta won 3 or 4 natty titles, one (62) is legit.

I had hoped that Ole Miss would contend for the West before the season even started. But for over two years I have been telling everyone that will listen that the 2014 Egg Bowl could be very special. It would appear I MIGHT be right. At this point, I expect both teams to lose one game heading into the head bowl.

Everything. Give us your kids, and we will allow them to grow up as winners.

At this point I expect no more than 1 loss and a bid to a major bowl if we miss the playoff

I was at 8-4 if things went well.

At this point, I am looking at 10-2.

I expect to get "60 minutes of passionate football" every time the Rebs step on the field. More wins would be awesome though too.

If both teams keep winning, expect to hear LOTS of history lessons from SEC West fanbases who are scared.

Each team is 10-1 going into Eggbowl. State loses in Tuscaloosa, Ole Miss loses at home against Auburn.

I am not a Ole Miss or Miss St fan...but none of the above has anything to do with this year. If you think it does, then what is the cutoff of it mattering? It's been awhile (Or never) for Georgia, Missouri, South Carolina, Florida, and so on...are you insinuating because it has been awhile none of these teams can win this year? If you are not insinuating this, why put those statistics in your OP? If you ARE insinuating this, what is the cutoff time? I mean, once you have not won for 10 years you can't win it again? 20? 30?

I honestly think either one will win the SEC West. I THINK it will be Mississippi State, and I think their team is good enough to represent the entire conference well in the playoff if they win the SEC.

I feel Tha same for Ole Miss. Of course they playoff game will be a different match up so I can't tell you what I think about that because I don't know whowe will play. But I feel like this is a prime opportunity to go to the SEC championship and if our defense plays like they have been I don't see Georgia being too hard to beat. But we have to get there first. And that is c going to come down to 2 games. MSU, AU. If we win those 2 games we are in in my opinion. Of course assuming we don't take 2 losses with LSU and ARKY. will be a tough road but this is the defense that can do it and as we all know... DEFENSE wins championships

We will both have one loss going into the Egg Bowl. We will either lose tomorrow or next week and State will lose at Alabama. The Egg Bowl will still decide the west because Auburn is going to lose to Georgia and Alabama.

I called 10-2 before the season.

I want an SEC Championship now.

Alabama has always been the team we have played better, and Ole Miss' has always been LSU out of the two. Ole Miss has already gotten the Alabama monkey off their back and we've already beat LSU.

I think there is a good chance we go into the Egg bowl undefeated, the most probable chance of us tripping up is at Alabama though.

Out of Ole Miss' remaining games I think their most difficult game will be Auburn, not LSU even if it is at home.

I think its been a hell of a ride so far, that Im glad I have witnessed.

I also think that as long as we play with the intensity we have so far we are going to be a tough out for anyone.

I expect a loss somewhere, but honestly not sure where it will come. Lots of chances, LSU, Aub, Ark, MSU. Could easily come from any of those, yes even Ark.

I hope we find a way into the egg bowl undefeated and MSU does as well and it is the nastiest egg bowl ever with Ole Miss winning on a last second field goal. Yes the field will be rushed and the new field goals will be cut up for profit again.
