Recruiting rankings don’t necessarily show who is “winning at recruiting”. I’ve seen highly ranked classes that ended up producing diddly squat and i’ve seen not so highly ranked classes that produced way more starters and nfl players. You won’t see the winners of a class until you see what that class actually produces. O locked down the state which is something Les consistently failed to do. Guillory, roy, and boutte were all pursued heavily by bama and all stuck by LSU. Gilbert was a huge steal that nobody saw coming. Not saying our class is better cause i’d say once you get to those top 4 classes it becomes just individual opinion
