Jimbo doing the same thing for A&M that he did for the Semiholes... you will see the same results! A program in ruins!

When you start landing these types of classes it opens up a whole new can of worms.

If the rumors are true that they basically paid for that class then the diva attitudes will start to mount.

Then you gotta deal with guys who are five stars not playing till their sophomore/junior years.

It’s going to be interesting to see, and I welcome more competition to the SEC. Soon you will have the talent of UGA and Bama.
I'm taking your post more seriously because each sentence you type warrants a new paragraph. I admire you.

The key to keeping 5 Star talent happy is to play the best guys regardless of what year they are or how many Stars they had. Some 5 Stars will live up to the hype. Some will discover that it takes more than talent and don't want to put in the work. You will also have some 3's and 4's that have a massive chip on their shoulder and end up beating them out.

This topic has come up a few times here on tRant and it makes me chuckle. Do you not think Jimbo has dealt with giant egos and 5 Star recruits before or something? That's basically all he has done during his career. Jimbo has a reputation of being brutally honest with his players for good and bad and they respect that. He learned it from Saban and Bowden. He won a Natty as an Assistant to Saban at LSU and then on his own at FSU.

Now Kevin Sumlin is an example of how to do it the wrong way. Sumlin played politics and tried to please everyone and ended up losing Kyler Murray and Kyle Allen which ended up costing him his job in the end.

Of course it could all fail, no one really knows. That said I would much rather have the problem of dealing with a bunch of elite talent and their egos than not and certainly this is nothing new for Jimbo.

He just signed an extension before the season.

I am pretty sure Jimbo won a natty for the Seminoles. That is the result A&M expects. The 'noles did not treat Jimbo the way they should have. Making promises to the coaches and not keeping them does not create a very healthy relationship.

aggies SEC schedule consisted of three teams that finished season with winning record. a&m lost one of the three. Five games VS teams with SEVEN or more losses. One game against a .500 team that fielded its worst team this centry.

Like I said easiest schedule in the SEC in '20.

if they were true, we’d be paying NIL to keep our 1st round draft picks another year.

What you mean? Let's be realistic if it wasn't for nil Texas a&m wouldn't be getting half of those players they'll be going elsewhere.

That record was achieved against the easiest schedule in the SEC in '20.

Wrong. It was an all SEC schedule. On the contrary, one of the hardest ever. And if it was so easy, why were you .500?

Get out of here with that crap. The SEC beat up on each other and dominated the bowl games.

Are you really that naive or are you just conveniently leaving out the non conference cupcakes that the SEC teams did not play and some of which were replaced with conference opponents. Had that not happened, there would be more teams with winning records. Even LSU would have been above.500.

Wrong. Jimbo is a top 10 recruiter before NIL. now add top 4 finish, beating Bama at home, Oklahoma and LSU coaching changes. The majority of Jimbo’s staff has been together for about 3 years now. Etc…

I think we can all agree Jimbo is AT LEAST as good a coach as Les Miles was, and he managed to win a national title (would have been two if not for Iowa State on a fateful night in 2011).

I actually like Jimbo’s play calling. Each season it has been totally different. This years was the worst, but with the o-line and qb play I can’t blame him. I do wish that he would play a lot faster tempo. Few schools can match our defensive 2 deep. Not playing tempo is a waste of resources

No trolling, just stating facts. This is a train wreck in the making, worse than how Jimbo left FSU. The Aggie “honor” code is about to be decimated. Sold your soul boys. Jimbo gonna leave smoldering ruins and nothing to show for it.

1. That most definitely was a troll

2. If you don’t think that the top 500 or so recruits in the nation come into a program thinking they are alpha dog then you know nothing about high level athletics or teenagers.

3. If you really think is an issue, then why focus on A&M?

If the rumors are true. what rumors? there is basically supposition based on NOTHING other than people dont think really good players should go to A&M.

Jimbo has been recruiting great for years and everything came together this year. Everyone else is freaking out, and it’s a bit comical to watch.

These recruits have been talking abiut hiw much they want to play with other great talent. A&M got great momentum with some recruits who in turn recruited ithers to join them, and the thing took off.

I dont hear players talking about the great financial packages they got- not at texas a&m. but we sure have heard abiut it at bama, ohio st and tu.

You do remember that in '20 ALL the SEC teams played an ALL SEC schedule. Your point about that is not valid. Given the end of regular season records YES aggies had the easiest SEC schedule in '20. Bowl games were immaterial to my statement about regular season schedule.
