I mean, considering the SEC gave Texas the easiest possible schedule. I’m sure they’ll be back next year.

Would you say that Howard "has several problems"? He threw for 289 and 1 TD. Ewers threw for 283 and 2 TDS. Stats aren't subjective. Your opinion is.

With the schedule that Sankey and his minions handed Georgia this past season, Kirby didn't even expect to get to the SECCG in the first place.
This was the year that Lane was finally going to put together a run. But when the opportunity presented itself, Georgia took on the challenge of playing Texas for the second time and took home the SEC trophy.
Kirby is currently in the process of assembling another ELITE team. So, during the next few years, expect Georgia to be a better team than it was this year.

1st and goal from the 1 and they do not even try to ram it up the middle.

Agreed. OL and Sark cost this game. Similar scenario against Georgia in SEC championship. Regardless, I'm looking forward to a rebuilt Texas OL.

Do you write revisionist history for a living? Kirby had Beck, the preemptive Heisman favorite coming back for 4 million. Kirby BESTED the shorthorns twice and I doubt even that surprised or confused him.
Winning football games is all he thinks about. Not sure about you.

In hindsight Sark should have used him anyway and gambled he hangs on to it while punching it in, but hindsight is 20/20, not so clear in the heat of battle.

What? You’ve got to be kidding. He was terrible lol.
QE lost RB1 & RB2 before the season started, the bigger guys that run between the tackles. That was an issue all year.
From the 6 deep WR room, he was down to 2 that were 100% healthy (#4 & #6), 3 that were gimpy, and a 5* that Sark dismissed from the team mid season.
QE played well, not perfect, but well enough to win.

I’ve criticized Ewers at times this season (moments like the reckless INT against Arizona State) but he was a warrior Friday night.

Yes, I would say that. No QB is perfect. Although, I think it’s more accurate to say Howard didn’t cost his team as many lost opportunities for yards and points. Howard has better form and plays with a lot more heart. That’s not subjective, that’s fact. It’s completely obvious. And stats aren’t everything. But, since that’s the basis of your argument, Howard had the same number of yards with a MUCH better completion percentage and he didn’t have to throw as much because he was a more effective passer and Ohio State was running the ball a little better. If Howard had thrown the ball as much as Ewers, he likely would have had about 60-70 more passing yards than Ewers, based on averages for the game.

Texas will still have Sark for a HC/OC. He's not going to suddenly gain control of the most talented and developed offensive players ever assembled who can make up for the negative plays and get explosive TDs consistently.
People act surprised Texas struggles on the goal line and I don't know why. The field is short and all those behind the line plays are much more likely to be negative as a result. And there isn't going to be some wide open guy down the field. With a Sark offense you basically have to score with explosive plays against any comparable defense.
There is a reason the man was called 7 win Sark for years.

Quinn is worth more next year as a college QB than NFL. I wonder where he’ll end up.

If winning the SEC is taking a step back, I hope we take another step back next year.
