The fumble in the Red zone cost us much more then this play. Killed all momentum and led to the winning field goal.
Absolutely.

I’m assuming you’re talking about Bond’s catch on 4th down. UGA had a timeout and Kirby could have called it and asked for a review. He didn’t.
Not using a single play as an excuse...but merely responding to your comment...
It is not always easy for a coach or sideline to see a play. If Kirby or our sideline did not see it clearly he would not have wanted to waste a timeout on a play that looked to everyone involved to be a clean catch. It was not until close ups and replays that it could be seen that the ball was trapped and was on the ground.
In real time I was certain that Bond had caught the ball. It is what it is. People will always complain about calls being wrong but there never has, nor will there ever be a perfectly called game.

Why didn't Kirby challenge it?
I think this was just one of those catches that looked good so do you want to blow a TO to review what seemed obvious at first glance? Otherwise your doing it every play or until you run out of TOs. And Kirby had to save his TOs for the end of the game.

But imagine had they got the call right. What was the score when Georgia fumbled? 17-7? 17-10? I can’t remember. But, again had the call on that 4th down catch been called correctly, the score should have been either 10-10 or 10-7. That makes a difference.

They review every single play. They don’t officially announce it on the field and include the on field crew for every single review. Are you just upset the crew in the booth didn’t have the on field crew announce to you and the rest of the audience that it has been “officially” reviewed?

Per the CBS broadcast Saturday this is false.

The crew in the booth specifically said the play wasn’t reviewed but should have been.

Oh wow. Alabama will always get the benefit of the doubt.

You got a citation for that quote and what it exactly means?
What it likely means is the on field crew was not involved at all. The booth people looked at it briefly and decided it there was not enough to change anything to look at it any further. End of story. You have to be completelyu naive to think they didn't run the tape back at least once in the review booth.
If they actually said it wasn't "reviewed", it is because silly fans actually believe that only the plays they are told are "officially" reviewed are the ones being reviewed. How the hell do you think they pick the plays that they announce need to be "officially" reviewed. They have to actually do a FIRST review of the play before telling the on field crew there is an "official" review.
