It’s LSU’s deal with a private equity firm. The league is afraid it will work, the other schools will follow, and the league will be irrelevant.

Why do we just assume the Judges are wrong?
Louisiana thought the same as an Indiana judge and countless other courts
Even in the Chambliss case we act like that was home cooking. It might time to admit NCAA, Universities, and Conferences have put themselves in a legally indefensible position. Kids are getting paid and kids like Chambliss have a right to earn?

Local judges have always been influenced by their electorate which is why all these athletes have been seeking relief in their local sate courts. If the NCAA/SEC has a problem with biased home cooked judges and the political influence of it all, then maybe 1) the NCAA should have incorporate itself in Indiana a long time ago; or 2) the NCAA needs to make a strong push to congress to give federal courts exclusive jurisdiction over eligibility issues like they do for bankruptcy, patent cases, admiralty and maritime cases, etc.
