I'd personally take a loss in the National Championship. Beating the National Champion, Orange Bowl Champion, and Rose Bowl Champion that season.
Over a losing record in the Big12. 7-6 on the season; 4-5 in the Big12.
Also how does it feel that A&M had one of their greatest players in history. And the only thing he has to show for it is a Heisman.. No SEC Championship(or appearance), or National Championship(or appearance).
A&M fans hanging on Alabama's success since they couldn't beat LSU with their golden boy of football. Troll on, Arkansas 2.0.

It would've been great to win a championship--conference or otherwise.
But I don't blame Johnny for that.
So I guess to answer your question, it's been a fun couple of years, and feels like it.
I don't hang on to Alabama's success.
Great for them for achieving all that they have--but it's not relevant to me.
