I'm glad you love Eric Berry so much. You two should have a nice weekend together.

Quite the contrary. Read the posts by you and your pal. LSU best, we get it.

they so biased thinking that the guy who won the best defensive player in the country was something less than the best defensive player in the country.

so much bias!

No need to be upset, it's a discussion board.

Someone missed the notice at the top of the OP, but I'm not really surprised. Some people just can't keep it civil.
By the way, Manti Te'o won a bunch of awards too, but he didn't deserve any of them. Not saying TM7 didn't deserve what he got, but just some food for thought.

Peterson/Claiborne/Reid/Matthieu/brooks/Taylor.
Best dime package ever.
Best dime package ever.

Bronko Nagurski Trophy (2012)
Butkus Award (2012)
Lombardi Award (2012)
So, that makes him one of the best players ever, right?

Awards do sometimes go to different players than I would have awarded them to. For instance, Tommie Harris beat out Chad Lavalais for the Lombardi trophy.
In Mathieu's case, there was no question he was the best defender in the country. So the point is salient that he won that award over his contemporary, the swag factory.
As for civility, I don't agree with you. Sorry if that gives you a sad, but most people disagree with you since you are a huge homer. Nothing to feel bad about. You like either your school or the school you pull for. To suggest something uncivil about calling the best defender in the country in 2011 exactly that, is kind of funny. It does, however, match what I have come to expect from your posts.

Name the players that should have won the award. When you are done with that, name the player that should have won each of Mathieu's 2011 awards over him. Then we might get somewhere.

I'm not your personal google. You think Mathieu wasn't the best defender in 2011 and Te'o wasn't the best linebacker but you can't point to a single defender who deserved the award. You are making a lazy argument based on an award bias that you can't even articulate. It is the height of thrusting the burden on someone who doesn't have it. The winner of the award is presumed to deserve it. I don't need to run down their resume to justify it. You, however, have to actually make an argument. Otherwise, it just amounts to he won the award but he isn't good. Some people might take your word for it. Bully for them and you.

Which post did I say this stuff in? I haven't mentioned Te'o yet, but I think Mosely was a better LB than he was. LSU had a LB that was better than him as well, but I can't remember his name.
And no way should he have won the award for best defensive lineman.

So who would yall rather have as your number one corner covering the opposing number one receiver?
Kirkpatrick or Mathieu
Kirkpatrick or Mathieu

While I agree with you, TM7 was the Nickelback on 2010 LSU's D. He didn't really have to cover that much. I would definitely say he is a better Nickel than Dre, especially when he has PP7 and Claibourne holding down the corner slots.

Did you mean to reply to me? If so, give me Dre.

When I think of Te'o I view him as a more hyped version of Nico Johnson.
