You're one of those hypocrites who only digs stuff up when it's convenient to you aren't you?

UCF wouldn't have beaten Alabama last night.

Alabama was 4 MLB's thin when Auburn beat them and they played a very bad game offensively. The committee knew this and that's why they got into the playoffs. Last night they proved that they belonged there. I'm sorry that you have to see Alabama or Georgia hoist the trophy because now you won't be able to go around boasting about how bad the SEC is. The SEC is bringing yet another trophy home. Deal with it.

it really only makes sense to expand to at least include all conference champions

That makes no sense at all unless all conferences are equal. They aren't even close. The playoffs aren't a goddamn welfare system, and I wish you people would quit acting like they were.

There's not a single team from the PAC 12 that belonged in any playoff of any size. Letting one of them in just because they won a shitty conference is stupid.

Now? No, it's always been that. Ohio State wasn't the difficult choice for the committee last year. Washington was.

Washington was the easy choice according to your own gripes and complaints. You're the hypocrite here. Don't try to act like we are being stupid. You are just being a hypocrite.

Why? Eye test?

They beat Auburn. The Gumps didn't. Georgia needed a mulligan to do it.

Auburn played three teams in the playoff during the regular season, and went 2-1.

There's no argument that you can win for Alabama over UCF, outside of the "eye test."

2017 Championships:

Ohio State - 3
Alabama - 1

I'm good.

The point was made based on the committee. Keep up.

So now it's losses, rankings, and how difficult the committee's choice is. Please stop when you reach the 10 lords a-leaping. Past that, it's just going to be a bitch to keep track.

UCF has zero losses.

Wisconsin has one loss.

All of the top 10 teams could very likely go undefeated vs UCF's and Wisc's schedlues.

It's going to go to 8, then 12 or 16 and hopefully settle in at 24. Let's stick to four, and just get it right from now on.

Ohio State, Clemson and all the rest of us can watch replays of that one time we beat Bama. Congrat's

My scenarios prove exactly what I'm saying -- it's not inherent. Practicality isn't a requirement. Let me make it easier, if you prefer...undefeated B1G champ, undefeated ACC champ, undefeated Pac12 champ, undefeated B12 champ. One loss SEC champ. Would you be shocked if the SEC winner got left out?

Yes, although the likelihood of that scenario is so remote as to be impractical. My point is that the CG is definitely inherent for SEC teams because of the perceived imbalance of power amongst the P5 conferences. I think this year's four selections for the playoff are proof. Alabama was selected as a second SEC team in the playoff, to the exclusion of the PAC12 and even the Big X.

It's always been that, too.

Do I really need to break down the entire process for you? It's available on their site. I recommend that you do that reading, then we can discuss anything you're still confused about.

Ohio State couldn't beat Penn State last year who couldn't beat Pittsburgh...

You make points then come back later and defy your own point. You're a loser who is obsessed with Alabama.

So you just keep 'forgetting' about each new criterion until you have to add it to help make your point?

What it all boils down to is that you didn't like the committee's choice, hard or not. It's not their fault that Bama had an excellent argument and validated the choice by shutting Clemson down hard. Get over it.

Pittsburgh wasn't a common opponent for Ohio State and Penn State.

Auburn was a common opponent for Clemson, Georgia, Alabama and UCF.

Really guys, I promise that this is not difficult, but I do have some crayons if I need them.

Originally I thought the Big12 will collapse when their grant of rights expire. Then we will just have 4 power conferences. That will make an easy playoff system. Now I am wondering if having Alabama and Georgia in the the final will speed up the process.
