Dude….
But since you must go there half the list is no contact, benching, aggravating prior injury.

Actually, we usually make back-up QBs look like the second coming of Johnny Unitas.

We are winning games by team effort and in all three phases of the game and the passing game can wake up at any time.

No. I know you idiots believe and repeat it but Chubbs injury was never celebrated. People were celebrating a fricking play where it was not clear immediately that anyone was hurt. frick off with being a dumbass for the sake of muh feelings about football.

It's a stat and it's a valid one. Our dline gets after opposing QBs as good as anyone and that has a lot to do with it.

Our identity is a physical team that runs through defenses and pounds the opposing team's QBs. We play old school smash mouth football and i love it.
You identity is a team that ran up the score on a weak OOC schedule and averages under 21pts vs SEC teams.

I still see trash Tennessee fans post about that game on FB. Don't act like it didn't happen.

So what will you say if we do on Saturday what your team choked away?
This is a very winnable game for us, especially if Nico has a decent game. This ain't a Saban defense we are going up against. They are squarely at #55 total D in the country. Perfect home game opportunity for Nico to begin a legendary career at Tennessee. He's already beaten Florida as a freshman and took out Oklahoma on the road when Oklahoma was healthy.

Keep ragging on Nico while you can. He's going to be really good sooner than later. I saw three NFL level passes from him against Florida. If Heard would stop whiffing every play at left tackle, that would help Nico's progression rate. He's very close to putting it together though. It's all timing and mental stuff not physical.
To be honest in the college game there is almost never a physical reason for a QB on scholarship not to have success. Guys like Major Applewhite and Stetson Bennett didn't have elite physical tools, but were great college QB's because they had the mental game sorted out.
Being a good-great college QB is all about the mental side of the game.
The reality is sometimes the mental game never works out. Tennessee had a guy with great physical tools in Harrison Bailey. He never could break the starting lineup either at UT or at Louisville because he never figured out the mental side. There are thousands of examples of great physical talents who never worked out the mental side.
So while it's fine to HOPE Nico figures the mental side out, it's by no means a given... either for this season or at any point in his college career.
Right now, other than the UTC game he's done this:
151 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT vs Iowa
211 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT vs NCSU
173 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT vs Kent State
194 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT vs OU
158 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT vs Arkansas
169 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT vs Florida
You could argue he's getting worse as time goes on.

Will you be here if you don’t talking about the coach needing to leave town if he doesn’t change like you were when ARK whipped that arse?

UGA fans won't need to say anything. We play you this year. How you do against another team really doesn't matter as UGA will get to make their statement on the field.

This thread isn't supposed to be about Nico, but since you want to go there, Harrison Bailey didn't have nearly the physical tools that Nico does.
He was one of the biggest busts I've seen. His problems were everywhere.
For you to even make such a comparison tells me you don't follow QB recruiting that closely.
Also, when i say mental i mean for Heupel's fast paced offense. It took Hooker two years to get this offense down. Every QB guru who has worked with Nico says he's very cerebral.
Also, our left tackle is terrible and our right tackle isn't much better in pass protection. You can't expect a freshman QB to look good when most of your early games are in the road behind a line that's constantly flinching and whiffing on blocks.
