You are going to hate to hear this you but you are WRONG.
We don't beat Iowa last year with Milton at QB. He was TERRIBLE and a CHOKE ARTIST who padded his stats in insignificant games. Point blank he's not a winner. Period. When the game is on the line i can't think of a worst Tennessee starting QB to have in our history. Maybe JG? Those two were very similar in their suckage fir us
He was a turnover machine against every decent defense that we played and he struggled hard against Austin Peay for crying out loud!!!
He lost us the Bama game by himself while Nico literally beat Bama at the end by himself.
A 5th year senior.
Don't EVER compare freshmen Nico to old arse Milton because all that does is show me that you don't know anything about football.
Also, Milton absolutely refused to use his legs to extend drives for us something that Nico is getting better at and doing more each game.
The irrational hate that this kid is getting is just downright silly.

Sorry. Nico is worse than Milton.
Milton played 1 more game last year than Nico has played this year.
He had 600 more yards passing. 50 more yards rushing. 11 more total TD's. 1% less completion percentage. 1 more interception. Nearly identical passer rating.
The only stat Nico might catch Miltion in with his next game is picks... which isn't a good thing.
Milton > Nico.
Facts.
***edit*** just to be totally clear.
Nico this year = Milton last year except with no downfield passing ability.

What do you want us to do? We joined the SEC. We schedule very tough games out of conference (last year at Bama, this year at the defending national champs, next year at Ohio State).

Always hoping and wishing. If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we would all have a Merry Christmas.
Every fan base could say “ we’ve not played our best football yet.” I appreciate the optimism but the body of work would indicate Tennessee is not ready to compete for a natty this year.
