All joking aside...I thought that Georgia's defense looked extremely quick and disciplined on Saturday. I'm not sold on Bennett at QB quite yet, but they do have other options if he should stumble.
It would completely be in Tennessee's playbook to shut down Bennett and have JT Daniels come in and look like a Heisman Trophy QB.

If Tennessee can win the line of scrimmage (or even stalemate) with their defensive front 7, stetson will look like a completely different QB (the nature of the position without a run game and time to set feet).
People underestimate Stetson, though. He knows how to QB. He knows when a blitzer is his responsibility. He has been going against our #1 defense for 2 years and now he gets to see the rest of the SEC.

Georgia fans are going to be disappointed when they find out TN has wide receivers that can get get open this year. They won’t give Jalen Hyatt very many 1 on 1’s.

Honeslty I'm not either....but I am very hopeful. Not fair to him, but he will have to prove himself every week, and if he stumbles people (our fans) will point and say, "See! I told you so!"
If your QB has a good game Tennessee will be in it until the end with a shot to win. If not, it could be settled early.

Just heard a little rumor, nothing but a rumor but still want to share.
As everyone knows Stetson jammed a finger on throwing hand in the game against Auburn and there are rumors that it might be worse than GA is saying publicly.
It's not a rumor. His finger is still jammed and if we were playing today he'd be the starter.

Every team has wide receivers.
Does that disappoint you?

I saw him flexing his hand and looking at it a lot. I'll have to go back and see how or if it affected his throws. Just from memory, it seemed has till had a lot of zip on his throws, but we also seemed to start running the ball more afterwards.

Compared to who UGA has played so far.
Number of receivers with >5 catches averaging >15 ypc. through first 2 games.
Arkansas - (1) - DeVion Warren - 5 catches, 25.6 ypc, long 52
Auburn - (1) - Seth Williams - 9 catches, 16.2 ypc, long 32
UT - (2) - Josh Palmer - 10 catches, 15.6 ypc, long 33; Brandon Johnson - 6 catches, 15.0 ypc, long 33.

All joking aside, this is the advice I have for our guys on Saturday.
1. The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win.
2. Play for and make the breaks and when one comes your way - SCORE.
3. If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.
4. Protect our kickers, our QB, our lead and our ball game.
5. Ball, oskie, cover, block, cut and slice, pursue and gang tackle... for this is the WINNING EDGE.
6. Press the kicking game. Here is where the breaks are made.
7. Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there for 60 minutes.
Hopefully VOLS can do these random 7 things I came up with and things should turn out alright.

Lol
You arent serious.
seth williams
Wk1: 6 catches 112 yards 18.67 avg and 2 TDs
Wk2: 3 catches 34 yards 11.33 avg 0 TDs.
De'vion Warren
Wk1: 1 catch 28 yards 28 avg. 0 tds
Wk2: 4 catches 100 yards 25 avg 1 TD
Do you want to guess which week they played UGA?
As for #2 receivers, you seem to forget that Auburn has anthony Schwartz and Arkansas has treylon burks.
As I said, everyone has receivers.
They just look a lot different after playing UGA (foreshadowing for Tennessee's offense?)

Go look at pgf’s highest rated receiver groups after the first two weeks and get back with me.

It's such a small sample size though and those numbers are skewed from having to play UGA. AU has Seth Williams who we shut down and Shwartz who a pretty good receiver.

Who the frick is pgf?
And what do you expect to happen when an offense plays the toughest, deepest defense in the country.
So long as Jordan Davis is healthy, the Vols dont score more than 14.

Solid analysis. #1 will be the key for both teams.

Can you also provide the PFF grades for the defenses that you've face?

Highest-graded power five WR groups:
1. Alabama - 86.8
2. Tennessee - 74.6
3. Ole Miss - 74.1

Competitive and I hope that means in the 10 points range.

Georgia hasn’t seen a WR with Hyatt’s speed this year.
