Why? He wins, puts folks in the stadium and recruits very well. Yes he is brash and still learning to be a head coach (3rd year with his guys) and the team has gotten better every year. If he misses the Supers 3 years in a row he would be on the hot seat but nobody expects them to fall that far anytime soon. Tennessee is not a baseball school so expectations are not silly for him.

Well he beat TN in year 1. Played an all SEC schedule and got UGA and Florida as our additional games.
I know we didn’t lose to might Pitt, Get blown out by a bad Florida Team (lame duck coach) or lose to Purdue
That was after we didn’t win a SEC game for two years.
Also, I don’t live in Arkansas but calling Arkansas trailer park is rich. TN leads us in trailers. Ya damn poors

Three wins is freakin awful any way you slice it.
You are the one who started off trashing our first year head coach so it's only fair to compare their first seasons.
Tennessee played a very difficult schedule last year as well including both NC game participants, Bama and UGA, a top 10 Ole Miss team, ACC champs Pitt and Kentucky's best squad ever.

I fully get the point of your post - you cannot discredit what he has done with the Vols and the program he has built - what he has not done has taught his kids how to handle success - and he knows that - you could hear it in his post game comments which is why he took the blame for losing the Notre Dame series -
