If I was Tenn and lost Vitello I would try my hardest to get Jake Gautreau.

Why would Vitello stay at Tennessee? I mean it's a train wreck. As the NCAA is about to throw the book at them. I know it is not baseball, but it will have an impact nonetheless.
Plus, LSU baseball is royalty in the SEC. As it just doesn't get better than LSU. He'll have all the resources he ever wants and the players he will be able to recruit will be astronomically far better than the players he will be able to recruit to Tennessee. Plus, if he doesn't take the job, then someone equally as good as he is will take the job and proceed to dominate him like he is a red headed step child. It's a nobrainer for Vitello.
