I don't think you get it. In the post with the picture, you responded to Quidam, not me, but whatever.

I know the Aggies have a history of laying down and taking it. You might even call it a tradition.

I didn't say the arrogance was not, at least in some measure, deserved.

These computer things are new to the Aggies. They don't really know how to work them too well.

If that's the case, who would have thought that the big 12 and the big east would outlast the ACC?

Nobody. I hadn't really thought of that. However, the Big East is dead in terms of football relevance. It's just a slowly dying basketball conference now.

why does it matter whose post I clicked reply to when it's pretty obvious who I am talking to considering I directly quoted him?

Is it really that hard for you to figure it out or does this forum have multiple layout formats?

Or is this really Busey getting technical and diverting the argument b/c he knows Kentucky really does have fair weather football fans and just can't stand the fact the he got kicked in the nuts over it?

Taking UVA into the SEC would be like getting the worst attributes of Tulane and Ole Miss bundled together, with an extra dose of arrogance thrown in.

I don't understand the point you are attempting to make.
UVA may have a subpar football program, but it a top tier university with a decent market and is the flagship school in the state of Virginia.
Frankly, they'd be a much better addition to the SEC than VT if it weren't for the fact that VT football is superior.

The ACC would survive without VaTech, FSU, and Clemson. They would simply raid the Big East again and redefine itself as a basketball conference. The ACC would essentially become the new Big East. With UNC, Duke, Syracuse, UConn, Pitt, etc the ACC would be as dominant in basketball as the SEC in football. We are talking an 8 or 9 bid league every year.

The 4, 16 team superconference thing seems to really be shaping up.

Attendance goes up and down everywhere but in Aggieland. In Aggieland they sit still and do what they're told. Aggie tradition is so militaristic and borderline totalitarian it's scary.

Aggies can't help talking about male genitalia.

The reply function is the way it is for a reason: So you don't have to quote every frick thing you're responding to.

USE IT.

It's just pointless to stereotype the fan base. It's also totally irrelevant to conference expansion.
UVA brings money, markets and a lot of potential to the conference.
If they have arrogant fans, who cares.

boo fricking hoo ya titty baby.

just keep trying to divert the conversation away from the fact that you clowned yourself when you ripped VT fans as fairweather when your own fans are exactly the same.

By your logic, if you are going to say VT basketball fans suck and are pussy flip floppers than your football fans are the same thing and you know it.

I think UVA may be better than the other schools I identified in football for the next several years. Mike London is a very good coach and has their program headed in the right direction.

Their other sports programs are pretty good too. Bennett has the hoops team on the rise and their baseball program would fit into the SEC quite well. They put more emphasis on soccer and lacrosse than the SEC schools, but that might be good as well.

UVA is also without doubt a top-flight academic institution and would raise the SEC academic profile substantially.

All of that being said, and with some hope that I might be a UVA parent within a couple of years, I stand by my statement. And I never say nice things about Tulane or Ole Miss.

Listen, Yankee. Most of the regulars know how to use the Goddamn reply button. Stop throwing around generalizations.

stereotypes arent really stereotypes if they are true.
UVA fans would go over like a fart in church in the SEC. Those delusional enough to think they could compete would be unbearable, the rest would just laugh at the academics in this league.

all that said, i see no reasonable scenario in which UVA ever ends up in the SEC.

UK brings something VT will never bring - the absolute best fans in a certain sport.
Furthermore, quit being a little bitch. There is a netiquette around here, learn it.

That, and our football fans don't CHOOSE to root for another football team. VT fans do with basketball.
