Why in the hell do people keep picking UGA to win the east?
I guess they are basing it on this year's recruiting class
Seriously though, Georgia has more players at the NFL combine than any other SEC team, and are losing their top 4 WRs as well as their best defensive players. They may win 8 games but they aren't going to win the East.

They do every year. I guess they forgot all the other years UGA had top recruiting classes that failed to do anything meaningful.
They'll finish 4th in the east.

i think your predictions are about as good as can be done. the only thing i would change is florida. i think they are the sleeping giant. muschamp may have a learning curve, but he's got some experienced coaches around him and they have the talent. if their qb grows up, they could end up in the sugar.

I had Aubarn going 10-2 in 2010
with a new OL and your schedule, you guys need to accept 7-5 the second it's offered

MSU fans dont get to tell champions what we should accept.

I find it hilarious that Aubs are constantly fighting with Miss. St. fans now. Post $180k, the new Aubie goal is to better the bulldogs.

That goal was achieved decades ago.

I think these predictions will turn out like every other prediction ever, probably completely fricking backwards from what will actually happen.

and it's replies like that one that make me wish the sanctions and vacating the title would get here quicker

um...goal accomplished?
but really, Miss St fans just want a rival bad since Ole Miss isn't cutting it

I'd rather Miss St be our rival over Ole Piss...but then again, at least Ole Miss beats us every once in a while to make it more of a rivalry...

Hope springs eternal.

How very, very rare.
Good luck defending a title with the loss of 24 players, including 4/5 of the offensive line, 3/4 of the defensive line, two LBs, three DBs, two WRs, starting QB, kicker and punter. Auburn would have to seriously overachieve to get beyond 7-8 wins. It's hard enough defending a title with leaders back. It's going to be down right impossible with all that youth, and the leadership gone. Not to mention replacing so much in the trenches (the single most important units in the SEC).

I think you are correct, predictions almost always never hold true. Bama and LSU have the most talent in the West, but don't sleep on MSU, the defending champs, or Arky. Preseason polls are only a reflection on how your year ended. Many teams have QB issues. LSU and Bama are a cut above on defense. It may come down to QB play.
As an LSu fan, I hope they are true and Bama's 1 loss comes to LSU, LSU's 1 loss to Oregon, to set up a rematch in the Sugar with Oregon.

Great points Capstone. Defending a title is no joke even with players considered leaders returning. LSU's title defenses under Saban in 04 and Miles in 08 is proof. I would tell my Bama friend that this year and it played out. When you are the champ, the bullseye is on your back. It's so much different playing as the hunter opposed to the hunted. Also, Auburn, it never goes away. You are always the hunted from now on. You saw that with Florida last year and even Bama this year in their defenses. I know the losses were huge on defense for Bama, but even with the Heisman winner back, the leader QB, and to me best WR in College Football, it was tough being the hunted.
