If he waited this long, he could've at least let the university (which has ultimately made his career what it is) a heads up and given them a contingency plan, exactly like when he was ushered in to take over for Stoops after 2016, which gave OU a softer landing. If this was a secret that long, and assuming USC was saying "take your time", why not give the school a heads up?

I have a hard time believing the school didn't know already. I get not telling the players because they're much more likely to talk and let shite slip on social media. But I bet he gave them notice.
