Or could it be that the era of the Blue Blood super teams is finally coming to an end?

South Carolina was predictably overrated and Va Tech might be worse than UCLA.

Vandy does have a solid 7-8 win squad though

We are a 4-6 win team. O-line is miserable and I don’t understand the playcalling at points.
I hope we drop out of the 25 this week. The team needs to get back to work without being distracted by rankings.

I don't think so.

While the 12 team playoff let some different teams in last year... the final four were Ohio State, Texas, Notre Dame and Penn State. All of those are Blue Bloods or near blue bloods.

UGA (a near blue blood) and Oregon (not a Blue Blood but one of the super teams at this point) were the other 2 in the top 6 of the final poll.

When we see a team like Arizona State or Boise State win a national title I'll start thinking the super team era is over. Right now they're getting in the playoff but not advancing to the final 4.

We're not there yet, but I think it's trending in that direction. IMHO.

We think it's always been this way, but really the Superteam era started in the 1970s. What begins can also end.

He is fun as hell to watch.
