This is what I've been screaming.

While Bama crying about the Vandy and Okie losses, SC beat both of them on the road convincingly.

Well we found 3 losses on Alabama’s schedule, so there’s that. And if Georgia hadn’t taken Alabama lightly that would have been 4.

Yep, a late season loss to a mediocre Oklahoma team.

The committee was pretty much stuck with putting a three loss conference champion in simply because of an agreement.

Otherwise, it appears that the committee is willing to forgive one mulligan along with a loss to a ranked team, but nothing beyond that.

This exactly. Oklahoma got destroyed by everyone else pretty much. They were even down double digits to Auburn and needed a massive Hugh Freeze collapse to win that game. Oklahoma manhandling Alabama was even more random in hindsight than Vandy’s win over Bama.
