I think we took the wind off the field issues have taken a large toll.

This is my guess.

I would like to see a Mizzou fan act like they've been there before... But we all know that will never happen.

I still think they are playing above their talent level. They have to have a healthy Carta-Samuels though to beat UF and UT.

Without a doubt. If they can (unfortunately, I don't think they will) go 4-0, they'd have a more successful season this year than last.

Vanderbilt's losses are to 4 legit top 20 teams and they managed to upset UGA. I still think they are playing above their talent level. They have to have a healthy Carta-Samuels though to beat UF and UT.

I agree.

The rape distraction was huge - it also resulted in a really good WR (Boyd) getting kicked off the team.

Zac Stacy was a big loss as well (from last year's team).

Robinette (backup qb) is awful. If they had a healthy Carta-Samuels I'd bank on them running the table on their remaining schedule. 8-4 would be worth celebrating at Vandy.

It's not. I'm not sure either of your posts involved sarcasm, but I'm perfectly willing to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Umm we've been ranked in the Top 10 before 808, not sure what you're driving at

Now, had we been to Vanderbilt's stadium before? Would have to look it up but I think probably not, so that would be a fair point. frick even I can't keep track of the sarcasm anymore, mah head asplode

It took 18 minutes to get a Vandy response. Y'all really need to come up with a new joke.

Their schedule is harder so of course their record is worse.

They could still realistically win out and finish 9-4 like they did last year. They have Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Wake Forest remaining. All four of those are very winnable games.

At worst they go 6-6 because I don't seem them losing to Kentucky or Wake Forest.

What is it with Mizzou fans trolling Vandy and UK?

As to the OP

#1) Vandy has moved from the cellar to middle of the pack. Opposing teams may prepare differently now and Dores may not be used to having a target on their back. Easy win to possible loss changes team dynamics and game play for both VU and their opponent.

#2) Off season issues. While this may be the norm at other SEC schools it is not at VU and tends to hit deeper

#3) Depth. Top SEC schools have deep wells to draw from where lower schools drop off sharply when it comes to #2 on the depth chart. Georgia and Florida have experienced brutal losses and can still achieve winning seasons while Vandy can lose 1 or 2 starters and the results hit the bottom line quickly. Imagine if TAMU lost JFF for the rest of the season.

vandy at 4-4 is disappointing? the dores are all grown up now. I'll give them W's over UK and wake forest to get to 6-6 and another bowl. Good odds they beat the vols and go 7-5

They have internal issues their dealing with. Rape allegations involving some of your starters will take the wind out of your sails more than Ole Miss

Would have been much more effective if there hadn't already been responses from four different Vandy fans in this thread...
