It is not the first SEC championship - it is the first tournament championship. For a couple of decades the SEC did not have a tournament.

I would worry about 2 of the three games before you get a chance to play Duke.

Do you see teams displaying the type of emotion that Mizzou, Vandy, etc displayed when they clinch the regular season "championship"?
Yes.

Vandy is the SEC champs, they won when it mattered. Just cause they might've lost a game or two several months ago is meaningless right now. Again, UK would trade in their regular season victories over Vandy in order to win this "gimmicky" game and title from yesterday
bullshite.

Postseason > regular season
Nope. If South Carolina had caught lightning in a bottle for four days and won the SEC tournament, Kentucky would still be the SEC champions. And no way in hell would Kentucky be wanting to trade places with them.

Just ask LSU
Yes, ask the 2011 SEC Football Champions.

As I said earlier, ask Washington about that. The bottom-line is you win the tourney, you're in. You win the "regular season" you may be in, but notably this year, you could be left out. Same with every mid and low major conference. Ask Drexel.
I'll ask Washington and Drexel when they're in the SEC. I don't give a shite about the Pac 12 or whatever Drexel is in. The SEC championship is won by regular season record. The tournament championship is a different championship, and is not called the SEC championship. If you value the tournament title more than the SEC title, that's your business. But Vanderbilt is NOT the 2012 SEC basketball champion. Kentucky is. Deal with it.

If you don't care about the only thing that insures you get in the NCAA Tournament, then you are out of you mind. :DWI:

Excuse me, but it is neither. Vandy has been SEC Tournament champions twice: 1951 & 2012. They have also been SEC Regular Season champions thrice: 1965, 1974 (tie with Alabama), and 1993.

Dude, whatever. If you're too fricking ignorant to know how the SEC awards its championship in basketball, and too fricking stupid to shut your misinformed arse up when you are told how they do it, then I can't help you.
Peace out.
