I can see how some fanbases could feel this way. And I get that LSU fans especially feel like he jolted them when he politely declined the offer to go to LSU but dude toned it all the way down this year.

Paul Skenes didn't pitch in any of those 6 losses.
PS is a great player and most likely #1 pick in the draft. But he is not a robot and can be beat. Also Paul has never been to Omaha and who knows how he will react to the pressure and different setting. UT actually has multiple players still left from its last Omaha team. Maybe experience will help us and little bit of luck.
Paul can be beat:
South Carolina scored 3 in 3 innings off him
UK scored 4 in 6 innings of him in regular season.
Ole Miss scored 3 in 6 innings of him.
Last time Skenes pitched against UT LSU was winning 2-1 when Skenes went out of the game. We had Dollander that game starting. UT tied the game in the top of 8th 2-2, and then UT gives up 3 unweaned runs in the bottom of the 8th that sealed LSU wins. I believe these two teams are closer than you think regardless if you admitted.
UT can not make mistakes like last time if they want to have a chance. In 3 games this year in BR, UT only gave up 8 earned runs in 3 game and that proved to be the difference between the teams. UT had 18 earned runs to LSU 8 earned for entire weekend.
This game can legit go either way. LSU has one of the best offenses in the country while UT has one of the best pitching staffs in the country.
Best of luck you to.

A series loss? From when they were playing terrible? That’s the best you have?

I agree that Vitello toned it down quite a bit this year, whether that's because the team was worse or because he has actually changed remains to be seen.
Vitello and the team behaved were very classy towards Scott Berry at the end of the game last night and celebrated without making arses of themselves.
Also, I'm not sure why Tennessee fans still need to pretend that Vitello rejected LSU when he was never even contacted in regards to the job.

I believe it was because he had to work harder this year as a coach rather than a motivator. The last couple of years he knew what he had in terms of a team and was just pushing them to just play and enjoy it. Whereas this year he didn’t know the team. He knew they were talented but didn’t just know how to win with them. He had to find what what worked and didn’t with them. He generally runs the program like a pro team with self accountability because the last 3 years he got comfortable and he couldn’t do it this year.

Kind of a spin since most of that came from one game.
It's also pretty hard to give up earned runs when you're busy giving up unearned runs.

You already know the answer
Btw, if Vitello is such a bad guy, why did y'all want him so badly after Marinara retired? Is this why your fanbase is so upset over Tennessee baseball? You guys are mighty touchy over our historically insignificant program.

I really don't.
I mean I understand it with Vitello, he's out whining about calls constantly, bumping umpires, talking shite, throwing bats, etc
Brian Kelly yelled at his own teams at times in South Bend but seems to have calmed down a lot.

We didn't, that's a Tennessee fan myth.

Some posters did, some didn’t. But I don’t think our AD ever made an offer.

Is there a Tenner poster other than Prof that’s managed to get a few hundred posts on here without getting banned?

some people on this website did, but he was never interviewed or offered by our administration
The coaches who were actually considered were Johnson (obviously), O'Sullivan, Pat Casey, and to a lesser extent and as a favor to older players, Mike Bianco.
Paranoia definitely got him a massive raise at TN, though, probably more than you needed to pay him to keep him there, so congrats I guess. We're doing just fine with Jay, so I'm not sure why y'all are still trying to make this a thing.

There are about 3-4 Vol posters who are completely fine on here, a few who are angry all the time, and then the 25+ Serraneaux alters who spend all their time trolling and talking shite.
