I think it would be prudent to go ahead and sign Lyle to a lengthy lucrative extension. He totally deserves it. If I were the AD in Knoxville, I would go ahead and get him extended now. No reason to wait until after the season. Cement him to the program for at least a decade.

We so envious of the Vols getting to go and lose to Alabama twice in the same season. Y'all is so lucky. And so lucky to have a quality poster like Walt. And a brain trust like Lyle. You haven't beaten Bama since the Iraqi surge and pre iPhone existence.... I can't imagine what it's like to live in the nirvana of Tennessee fandom!

And Ole Miss hasn't done a god damn thing since human beings were drinking out of separate water fountains based off the color of their skin.
Don't ever try to compare your program with mine. Tennessee wins that argument 10 times out of 10.

I remember when I used this logic on Alabama fans two seasons ago when we were 7-0 and actually had beaten Alabama.
We're not even halfway through the season. The difference between 5-0 and 3-2 is meaningless when one team plays a Sunbelt style schedule and the other plays in the West.
