Do any of y'all see one of these schools winning a CFB Championship again?

Not SEC related, but: Off-season

Wealthy private schools in a major metro area? For sure.

BYU
Possibly. They are spending in basketball and are in a P4 conference. Enough money and they can fill their football roster with a bunch of non-Mormons and be in the CFP.

Nebraska
Nope.

Miami and usc definitely they have the means and are both in high talent areas.

Byu title is a farce, Washington won the 84 title. I think Nebraska is like Michigan but with less money and worse recruiting base and Michigan has struggled in the bcs era/4 team era but seems better adjusted in the eatly nil era. I’d say Nebraska is a toss up. Byu no way.

Nebraska was much better suited for the regional era of college football. You never know what difference one great coach can make, but I thought even back when they left the Big12 that they were headed down the path of being less relevant.

USC during the Carroll era was crazy. They have to get the right coach. But when they get it back they’re right there with the Dodgers/Lakers as the biggest thing in LA. That’s lots of economic opportunities for players.
