I didn't read any of this thread....but both can go frick themselves.

I hope this has already been said at least once.

I've loved the Falcons since I was 3. Only missed around 18 home games in my entire existence (26) ...so I would piss on Urban waaaaay before Bobby if they were both in flames. And I really hate Urban Meyer.

No use talking about this.

No one seems to remember Blank having promised Petrino that the Vick charges would go away, ie he lied to get Petrino to go there.

Very few care that Blank told Petrino that Petrino could leave and then reneged when Vick was convicted.

No one cares that Blank fired Reeves with 3 games left in the season. See, the teams get to throw away coaches at will while those same coaches have to show the utmost loyalty to those organizations, which is never reciprocated.

All of the posters here believe a coach should owe loyalty to his team above God, family and country, even though he was told he could leave and his family was bloody miserable in Atlanta.

Very few have ever worked in big boy business to realize when someone high up in an organization resigns from a job they are immediately kicked out of the building without even a chance to collect personal items. They certainly never get a chance o talk with the people they led.

No one gives credit to Long for hot boxing Petrino, because Long simply told Petrino to get on the plane now or he wouldn't get the job. It's now or never.

Everyone ignores the fact that Atlanta had various players that were a cancer in that locker room and that Atlanta quietly go rid of them after that season. Remember all the dip shits wearing "Free Vick" shirts and yelling to high heaven about the unfairness of the Vick conviction. There was a lot of trash on that team before Petrino ever got to Atlanta.

Did Petrino do everything right, certainly not but don't tell me that a job in the NFL is anything more than a job, an everyone quits a job at some point and time.

At the end of the day...right now in the present, everybody thinks Petrino is a POS except Arkansas Fans.

I also understand that ArkyFan used to support Nolan Richardson while he was the coach but "their opinion of him changed" after he walked away from the BB program in Fayetteville.

Any truth to that, that Arky fans do not laud Nolan Richardson anymore?

This.

The overwhelming sentiment is how big of a shitebag BP is.

And yes, in real life, sometimes you have to leave a job. But you don't leave in the middle of the night without telling your employees. Freaking pathetic.

Urban left with proper notice.
Never faked a heart attack or claimed a heart attack.

The ESPN job was part-time. That's actually the dumbest slam on him.

Urban did not cheat in recruiting. Perhaps he negative recruited but most do. If he cheated the rest of the SEC would have relished turning him in.

I'm all for bashing him for real stuff.

Family - he don't like
Health - he don't like living
Lying about reasons to leave UF - he likes

Urbansessed.

Petrino leaves ATL

In the midst of the season, leaving a NOTE for his players to let them know he was bailing on them.

Urban Meyer fakes heart attack, leaves Florida in shambles to spend more time with family while never being home b/c he travels with ESPN game crews. Jumps to Ohio St at first chance

He FINISHED his last season with Florida, then sat out a year from coaching, then went to Ohio State.

The two situations are completely different. Only an Arkie would equate them.

...but who resigns twice within a year for bogus reasons?
...or tries to manage a clock with 1 second remaining?

Priceless.

This is all true, but he won 2 national titles for Florida and called it quits in the offseason.

Les gets on national TV to tell the free world he ISNT leaving LSU to go to Michigan and Bobby P slinks out in the middle of the night WITHOUT telling his team he is leaving them.

HogMan is mad cause not only are Urban, Les and Nick better CFB coaches than Bobby P....they are better Human beings too.
