In the letter Alabama asserts that the student-athletes had no knowledge that the items were being sold. If the students were proven to have known that the objects were being sold or were proven to have received anything for the sale of the objects, they would be ineligible under NCAA rules.

I don't think TR would have given up a signed game worn (according to story, not saying true) jersey for a free suit or even 2 or 3 free suits. I'm going to give him more credit than that.

I think people knew Alabama fans did that when we lived in the past. They have since forgotten.

Fine......I hear that Ware's boxers may be a bit too fancy to be of the type that he would buy on his own

Yes, as the basis for this whole story is the short lived Clay Travis website and NtY.

Ok, just making sure. I wasn't sure if it had or not. I didn't read hardly any of FairFairley's thread about this whole situation. I knew he was just fricking around.

That's been in the news. Nothing new has come of it. There was a Birmingham News Article about the same letter, as well as one in USA Today and the Washington Post.
The new news will come if the NCAA decides it is worth investigating, or if information comes to light that shows players knew their autographs were being sold by the store, or in exchange for suits.

2 seconds into the video there is a still shot of the front of the store.. No jerseys, no stickers, nothing.. Also if you move up to the 25 second mark, there is a video of the storefront scrolling left to right.. nothing but suits in the window.
I still don't know how I am supposed to point out something I said wasn't there to begin with.
Your comment inferred that the sticker in question was not in place at the time of the video. You can try to weasle out of it all you want but thats what you implied. In order for you to have any basis for that comment, you would have had to see the area where that sticker resides currently. You didnt.
Baseless comment is still baseless.

Clay screwed himself on that claim. The jersey in the store with the BCS patch is a WHITE jersey. Bama wore CRIMSON in that game. Can't sell a "game worn BCS national championship jersey" if it was never game worn and isn't even the correct color.

So what is the difference from this "suitgate" and Dexter mcCluster walking out of College Station with a bag of ole miss memorabilia and the owner now sporting a Dexter McCluster Helmet to go along with his Peyton, Cardale Williams, Eli, deangelo Williams and more? The owner mentioned to me that he got all the signed helmets while they were still in college. I think most he had before the store opened. He has since added several others.
Is it really a big deal? Before some say suits cost more than shirts, he walked out with several high priced items some of which were shirts though. I believe he paid for them, but really there is no way for me to know. At the time I didn't think anything of it.
Is it just Bama players prefer dressing sharp?
I don't see how this is a huge deal.

What did you expect. Travis copy and pasted a story from the Bunker.
