The better team lost but the best team in the country was back in Athens celebrating the total destruction of FSU. The committee didn’t want a threepete by an SEC school or another UGA/Bama Natty game. And they made sure that didn’t happen

Yes, but then the year after and the year after when it trends worse and worse
Players liked saying they played for Saban, it was still a factor in their decision. With that gone, who knows man, I don't feel bad for Bama fans, I feel bad for the remaining players

Sure there are some good to solid pieces that will present themselves
But there are a ton of ELITE players still on the roster. Idk if they’ll even pan out as good players but go look at the recruiting rankings of the guys still there if you think there “some good to solid pieces” left.

A lot of these guys on the depth chart were gone regardless of the coaching change due to eligibility or draft declaration. The additional losses due to the coaching change portal are the stinging blows. Feel like secondary is really where the sting will most be felt in the Fall. They're basically doing a wholesale refactor there. That's the reason I have hesitations about any lofty expectations. Year 1 programs always make more mistakes and the roster gap that seems the hardest to rectify could lead to some bad burns on deep passes.

Dalcourt is done. He also was an OL.

It was right in front of me and i still got it wrong. I figured if he were a GR he was done, but it's hard to tell these days with all of the loopholes and exceptions they have today.

You're talking about a different season. 2022 was the season Bama got screwed out of the playoff, which is the only reason UGA won 2 in a row.

They will hurt eventually. Alabama had recruited so well in the past it will take at least a year or so to feel the full affects. If DeBoer can recruit he might can take in some of the slack. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Unbelievable. has as much credibility as a Georgia fan saying we got screwed out of the playoffs this year and it was the only reason we did not get a ThreePeat. I guess we can start saying that, now?

Actually no, has far more credibility.

Not by a long shot buck-o.

You know that’s not true. Georgia was and is the best and most talent loaded team in the country.
