Tennessee claims 6. Only 2 of them are legit. But, by the standards of this thread, only 1 of them are legit.
The 2 that are legit are 1998 and 1951. However, since Tennessee lost it's bowl game in 1951, it apparently isn't legit.
So, Tennessee has a total of 1 national championship in their history while claiming 5 bogus ones.

More or less embarrassing than getting shut out in the national championship game and never finishing a drive on the other side of the 50?

Alabama has no disputed poll title. That’s a fact.

Newsflash: LSU is generally considered a slightly above the middle-of-the-pack program, viewed nationally. There're the blue bloods (Alabama, OSU, Notre Dame, etc) & LSU is a lllllooooonngggg way from joining that group.
