Sill shocked that UCLA isn't still here. Kudos to the Terps though!

Mike Irwin posts on HiV and that same dismissive attitude comes across in his posts to Hog fans as well.

Three, by SEC twice.
There were four in 1997 (LSU,Ala,Aub,Miss St)
I think there may have been another year with 4 but my memory fails me at the moment.

Damn, I'm getting old. I stand corrected.

2004 had 4 teams - Arkansas, LSU, UGA and S. Carolina

Saw this on a another board and thought I'd share. A&M, Ulala, CSF, & Miz St are attempting to join an elite club. Only 4 programs have ever won 2 supers on the road. No one has won 3. UT (Delmonico), tu(Garrido), Ark(Van Horn), and UCI(Serrano) have all done it. Vanderbilt, Florida State, Maryland, and VCU have never won a super on the road.

A lot of series with some good old home cooked hatred this year. ULL, TCU, FSU... all teams that will have a little extra incentive to try and win. Should be some great baseball to watch.
Agreed.

i remember when we were good in baseball :(
Good luck to the 5 that are in it!
Even though I'm kinda pulling for FSU since they have a starter from my hometown.

Let's hope Vandy does it this time.

He picked out one kid. He came back later and admitted that they weren't LSU fans but were local kids who had bought various shirts at the CWS.

Nice work OP and good luck to all the SEC teams. I would love for us all to go 10-0 this weekend and have 5 teams in Omaha.
Geaux Tigers
Go Gators
Go Dores
Go hogs (I can't believe I just typed that)
Go Aggies (excuse me while I go punch myself in the balls for typing that)

Florida state will choke as always. Plus Florida is a lot better. I predict an LSU and Florida final.

As always, thanks for doing these threads. I was going to do the W softball one again this year but somebody beat me to it. Your style has influenced how I did the WCWS in the past.

Mike Irwin, to me, seems like someone who used to enjoy sports, but since he made sports broadcasting a career, he ruined it for himself. He comes off as bitter all the time.
