The way I see UF's D game plan would be to double Hunter, always have Elam over top of him. Have LBs looking for Rogers floating the middle. The D front is good enough to stop the run. However, here's the curve ball. UT has only shown a 3 wide formation 4-5 times this year. The end of last year we were running 4 and 5 wide sets nearly every 2 downs. So, I'm not sure if UF's D can make that set. To have Hunter and Rogers wide, Zach Rogers(who is underrated) and Viencent Dallas in the slots, with Revera out also... That is going to be difficult as hell to stop.
I'd rather not go to that type of play, but they could

Muschamp is going to try to stop the run and control the LOS. That is his MO. If you think he's going to ignore the running game, you obviously haven't followed his career.

If UT goes 5 wide, the UF front 4 gets to pin their ears back and I don't know if that's a good thing for UT.
No, UT is going to want balance. They need it to win.

If he's going to ignore our passing game he is going to get burned.
What I'm saying is we DONT have much of a running game currently. He doesn't have to specifically plan to stop it. The front 7, should be good enough to do it without elaborate changes.

Are you kidding me? Thats a great thing for UT. Road has confirmed UF's doesn't have a pass rush.
Last year they only had 10 sacks on the year and SIX of them came from the UT game were we had 4/5 OL true freshmen and a quarterback who held the ball for 15 seconds in the pocket.
So that left UF with 4 sacks on the year outside of one game. Not to mention this year after playing FAU and UAB they only have one sack.
The pass rush isn't something that is a big concern. The concern with the DL is stopping the run, which I think they are great at.

If UT goes 4 or 5 wide then UF has to get to the QB. If we do, UT will be forced to go heavy with TEs to help block and then UF will be able to have more DBs than UT receivers.
If UT can go receiver heavy and UF can't get pressure we are in for a long day. But I don't think that will be the case.

Have you watched Hunter and Rogers?
You can have 3 DBs convering them, and it won't matter.

Not true. I watched him against Cincy and thought he looked incredible. Cincy's D may suck, but Bray was still making some great throws.
The touchdown pass to Hunter was beautiful.
Only thing that bothers me is the silly comparisons to guys with weak arms like someone on here has made with Denard Robinson.
Robinson may have won player of the week, but Bray has a superior arm and I'd take him over Denard.

To be fair, the big touchdown run and the yards racked up against a prevent defense at the end of the half were about 90% of those yards.

Denard is an exciting player and ridiculous athlete. He actually has a pretty good arm, but he just throws up jump balls one after the other. Bray is a much better passer than Denard and may be the best QB in the SEC at year's end.

Fair enough. Denard had a lot of yards and td's, but he had some awful throws as well.
I honestly thought Forcier would be better if he didn't try to force passes when things seemed bad. Where is he now, anyways?

Why would you even make this thread? You're just asking for people to ridicule Bray when he struggles this season.

OK simple minded UT fan:
Comparing last year's UF team to the 2011 version is ridiculously stupid on many levels and that's all I'll say about that.
Muschamps stated goal in every game is to control the LOS and force turnovers. Period. Of course he will gameplan for UT's strength, which is their passing game, but he and everyone else knows that Hunter, Rogers, and Bray WON'T beat Florida alone UNLESS UT can run the ball effectively.

I certainly understand that. I imagine Mississippi State would want Denard as well.

This post reminds me of last year when Mark May was talking up Bray and Murray, and Holtz just had to throw in Shaw.

Shaw may be good, but I just thought it was funny because May was obviously discussing two quarterbacks who had been playing and Holtz just had to mention the Gamecock guy.
