Especially in an offense that isn’t QB friendly and relies on experienced, complex decision making.

Not really, that was more about Mond's style than it was the design of the offense. Jimbo had plenty of explosive offenses at FSU that could put a lot of points on the board quickly. Mond was all about avoiding mistakes which ironically often caused him to make mistakes, either by overthinking plays or not taking shots that were available to him. Mond's game will translate to the NFL well though, especially as a backup QB.

A&M is returning an All SEC RB and the backup won the Orange Bowl MVP and is tearing it up in T&F right now. He also has an elite TE as a safety blanket. Decisions are a lot easier when you had a year to learn on the bench and are surrounded by great talent.

I don't know if King will even be the starter next year. That said he has a tremendous ceiling. The key for him will be avoiding mistakes and letting the game come to him. He's got the arm and the wheels and he has the talent around him. A&M should be much more explosive offensively with him considering how few throws Mond even attempted over 20 yards this season. King isn't without flaws but if he can translate the physical skills he has an unlimited ceiling. We shall see.

Very telling sample number you have.
It's very entertaining to watch the A n M posters come in all 'academically high brow' but think that a study can be concluded after a sample size of 3.

This is what happens to posters that have nothing to cheer for.

I think it is a program thing. LSU has three in the last 20.....only two teams in the entire country can boast that. Yet you'll see about 7 or 8 ags refer to A n M as 'father fill in the blank'.

I assume it's track or women's volleyball......sure as shite isn't football.

This is like saying Bo Pelini has good defenses.

They both have something in common, all of it happened before the current offensive revolution.

I missed where Kyler Murray set the world on fire his freshman year. It was only once he got the hell out of Aggyland and headed to a real program with a winning tradition that he was able to make something of himself.

If King turns out even half as good as danny boy says in the OP, he's probably going to follow in Murray's footsteps.

Considering O took over a program with much more talent than the team Jimbo took over it is a damn important statistic.

LSU had a lot of talent on paper but it wasn't spread out among the positions.

O did a lot of work on the recruiting trail to make 2019 possible.

Jimbo is a like more progressive Les Miles.
