Before the LSU-Bama game, I was against the re-match. Now, well it's Bama's only path for a chance at #14. I'll take it if I can get it. LSU has my respect and admiration. I wish next year was your year and this was Bama's.But, it may turn out this year AND next year will be the Tigers.

all i know is that bama better bring a lot of kleenex if they come to the superdome. in fact, lsu fans should be chivalrous to the alabama womens and bring some for them!

Honestly? I see no need for a re-match discussion. Until both teams take care of business this weekend, it is a moot point. Arkansas and Auburn are saying there will be no re-match. We have tp prove them wrong first. If we both win out then it will happen without a doubt. What happens then? I honestly do not know. Will not be 5:51 when it is over though.

OR!...., since you didn't want to say it,....
LSU wins out this year 14-0, and has a repeat performance next year holding 4 BCS Crystal Balls since the BCS inception.

Don't scoff as if it's something not likely to happen

I think a lot of people also saw Alabama never take one snap at first and goal, either. Contrary to what Jay Barker thinks, just lining up for a field goal does not = offensive success.
That attitude by Barker had me shaking my head as well. He's tough for me to take at times anyway, but I think his overall point which is shared by others such as Herbstriet. It's that BAMA outplayed LSU but was guilty of making more mistakes at crucial times that cost them the game. Alot of those mistakes like 12 men in the huddle, or calling for a reverse that loses 6 yrds without an LSU player touching the ballcarrier on 1st and 10 from the LSU 30 were unforced errors. BAMA beat LSU in every stat except the one that counts the most. Even the fact that on defense LSU had to change their entire gameplan to stop BAMA. It was effective but what other game has LSU put 9 in the box for every play? BAMA on defense changed some schemes and mixed up some tendencies but virtually stayed with thier base formations and line-ups against LSU adn were very effective. LSU started 2 of the 3 scoring drives from deep in BAMA territory. To me thats the difference in the 2 defenses and alot of "X" and "O" experts are able to see this.
Bottom line is that if your team plays a team once and losses every stat except scoreboard you know that in a rematch you cant count on that team to make those mistakes again. Some on the board want to see the two best teams play for it but more on here know that BAMA is the biggest threat out there and they want no part of them.

If anyone ever does anything in their life, they can characterize it as one long string of mistakes, one after another. Successful people don't make the same mistake twice.
There's another angle to this whole rematch thingy. When a team thinks they've won the the late 3rd qtr, and the other team comes back it can be hard to keep the Big Mo. LSU already thinks they've beaten Bama for the season, but if the stars align they're going to have to get back into game mode.
(Spare me the "Tigahs at home" junk. Bama loves to play LSU down there.)

If Bama had won in TTown, I'd want no part of LSU again either.

Same here, but if you outplay a team and win the scoreboard it's not as fearfull as when you get outplayed but still win.

I say "BRING ON BAMA" Again!
We will beat them in our home state.

We didn't get out played. We just didn't make stupid decisions and try 50 yd FG over and over. For a team that got out played we were on your goaline more times than you crossed our 20 yd line. Get that outplayed shite out of here.

Total yrds, passing yrd, first downs and time of possesion disagree. But hey Playa, keep telling yourself you have nothing to fear and eventually you will start to believe it.

Yeah several teams have had better stats than us.... Guess what? They all lost.
If you are going to prove your point with stats then you can take those pieces of paper and shove it. On the field you were exposed. DWI

If Arkie beats you next week LSU will be THIRD in BCS and out of SECCG and BCS. Don't think so?.... wait and see.
Things that aren't likely to happen:
1) Arkansas beating LSU
2) Even if they do, LSU falling below #2

Why are you still hung up on stats? We proved they are not worth shite.

ESPN's Brad Edwards and Kirk Herbstriet think differently, but hey they are just only paid by the most influential media outlet in all of sports to predict these things for a living. I'm sure they have much less insight on the workings of the BCS system than you.

They are paid to talk. If things are self-evident, what can they talk about? They can hang their hat on "possible".
Notice my key words "aren't likely". That means it is still possible, but not likely.
LSU would be no lower than 2 in the computers and possibly still 1 (but not a rating of 1.000 like now).
Arky's computer rating sucks for a team that is #3 overall. As a result, they would have to trounce us in the polls. While possible, not likely.
... and that's assuming they even win.
It's more likely for Arky to beat LSU than Auburn to beat Alabama, but the both are possible. Neither are particularly likely.
