I just read the story about the NFL having this banner removed. Once the NFL logo was covered/removed, whats the problem? And what right does the NFL have to say shite?

It makes no sense to me and seems ridiculous they would demand this be taken down.

Something to do with the NFL objecting to non permanent banners / advertising within a radius of the stadium. Apparently the NFL bought the rights to all advertising around the stadium.

Is that even something that is legal? If I owned a hotel near the stadium, unless I sign a contract with the NFL I can market whatever the hell I choose.

Did that particular hotel have a signed contract with the NFL?

No clue. I also may have characterized it wrong. This was the best explanation we got from a Kentucky official.

“The NFL and the city of Nashville have a perimeter for the draft which prevents temporary banners from being displayed in proximity to the draft events on Broadway.”

I can only assume the City of Nashville made a sweet heart deal with the NFL to get all the draft tourism $$$.

I'm just gonna add my two cents worth to congratulate a UK football player for being picked in the first round. Well done, young man! And hey, Kentucky - welcome to the football side of the SEC. We've been waiting on y'all for a while now. Good to see y'all stepping up. You had a great season last year, and now a first rounder!

Honestly I think UK took it down as a goodwill gesture more than anything, probably because it did have the NFL logo on it.

If not, I would have left it up.

We've always been here, but I get your point. I think UK has a good chance at 9 wins again next year.

Josh Allen, LB, Kentucky

The Jaguars didn't think he would be here. They thought he would go at 3 or 4 or 5. I love this pick. Their identity is defense. I like this pick, they could have went in a different direction, but he fell to them and they took him. Grade: A

Well that sucks. The NFL is so lame on some of their policies
