UK, MSU, and aTm basketball don't play a true road game until January. Are they cowards?

Why are they so scared of playing in another teams gym?

I haven't even checked our schedule yet. Hard to believe basketball season is right around the corner.

We play multiple ranked teams in large neutral venues. Strive to get there.

Auburn has an exhibition one week from today, and first real game in 11 days

Who else is playing #1 Michigan State, #5 Louisville, and #18 Ohio State in that span?

Bowl is. That's why he's ignoring the LSU game and moving on to basketball.

I've made two LSU threads this week, and one basketball thread. Good call.

Math is hard when you go to school in Mississippi

ETA:

three LSU threads

:kige:

#1 Michigan State in New York City (Madison Square Garden) also UNC vs UCLA
Utah in Las Vegas (T - Mobile Arena)
#18 Ohio State in Las Vegas (T - Mobile Arena)
#13 Texas Tech in Texas (United Supermarkets Arena - unless Kroger owns United?)

Georgia Tech in Rupp, but home and home series
#5 Louisville in Rupp but home and home series

That is (2) Top 5 teams and (4) Top 20 teams

Why is Auburn playing at South Alabama?

Pearl did the same thing at Tennessee playing road games at MTSU and UTC. What's the purpose of this?

Same reason we've played @UAB and other games in Birmingham.

He wants to make his program THE basketball in the state.

Not everyone is going to drive to see a college basketball game, not everyone even cares about college basketball. But if the game comes to your town it draws a lot of excitement and you're the big name for the night in that population center of the state. That draws more interest and excitement to the program. That's especially important in the areas of the state where the most and best recruits typically come from (Birmingham and Mobile) I wouldn't be surprised to see Pearl try and do something in Huntsville at some point. I'm a little surprised he hasn't tried to schedule any big neutral site games in ATL bc even though it's not instate, the ATL area in particular has been huge for us and really all of East Georgia.

It's a cheap, used car salesman way of getting "a true road game ". Plus, it's easier to hand out cash to recruits in person when you go to them.
