Except A&M has a black head coach. The longhorns have not EVER for any big-3 sport and were the last to integrate in the SWC.

When reached by text moments ago, Brown refuted the story to Horns247.

"I haven't seen (the) article," Brown wrote.

"I'm in Florida recruiting. If I had decided to step down I sure wouldn't be killing myself down here. I have not decided to step down."
What I fail to understand is why the Texas powers that be are allowing Mack to "step down", why don't they fire his arse if they want a new coach so damn bad?

Let's say money is equal. Which town would you rather live in, Tuscaloosa or Austin?
Where would your wife rather live?
Why the hell does it matter? Nick doesn't go out on the town in Tuskaloosa and doesn't want to - he works ALL THE TIME. Hell, he'd get mobbed by fans if he did tried to go out for dinner & a movie with his wife. It's not like he and Ms. Terry are regulars at Cypress Inn or any other eating establishment in town. If all your arse does is work from daylight to dark, why the hell does it matter where you lay your head to sleep at night?

Who can imagine Nick Saban at Texas with all that Texas-Oil alumni money and that hotbed of prep talent?

Saban isn't going anywhere. That move wouldn't make any sense.

Saban is probably not going to Texas. He has more money than Davey Crockett, a very comfy job with every perk he could want and he is getting old.....BUT, every time I hear a denial I picture that press conference in Miami with the Dolphins that was ONE DAY from him fleeing the state.

I doubt he will ever live that one down.

Not true at all. Melvin Watkins coached bb.

Texas has not had a blck HC in the big 3 but everyone knows they harbor tendencies.
