I know, and I will never understand why...I'm sure Tuscaloosa PD loves Bama, Knoxville loves the Vols..etc...

Auburn PD is generally pretty cool... and not just for football players. For pretty much everybody.

You gotta go Rob Frickin' Chubb level or higher to get busted by the Auburn PD.

it's pathetic that the supposed "leaders" of the team would continue to do shite like this

Richt should have had them all sign a contract like Coach Conrad did.

Ogletree and Rambo would be alright if you could keep them away from these guys.

Seriously, I agree with this:

Until pot is decriminalized, which won't be any time soon, we're going to have suspensions like this every year and it will continue to affect the team.

and it will also affect every team in college football.

Since Jan Kemp there has been an anti-athletic sub culture in Athens that has not reared it's ugly head at the other SEC campus yet.

Nice observation. Might be something there...

One way or the other he has fricked UGA football.

You win for by far the most idiotic statement ever. Yeah, Richt has really fricked over UGA football. I hate to tell all you Richt haters out there that think that UGA football has always been God's gift to college football, but Richt has been more consistently successful at UGA than any coach before him.

Oh, and considering these guys weren't arrested, then yeah, you are hearing about it because UGA is actually testing and apparently following their laid out punishments for the failed test, UNLIKE every other f'n school in the SEC. I will always remember how much shite UGA took for the numerous traffic violations arrests, and then it comes out that UF players, including Cam Newton at the time, had some ridiculously large number of traffic violations as well but no one ever heard about it because no one was arrested and/or punished publicly. As for Auburn or Bama not having these problems-- they do, but they simply get swept under the rug if the player is good enough.

I knew there had to be a Richt lover out there. Consider the statement earlier.

Offense- Kept Bobo and his piss poor playcalling.

Defense- Kept Willy too long

Special teams- last season

Arrests- His whole time there

at being barely above mediocre yes.

If they are minor traffic violations then frick I want it swept under the rug.

Yup the reason Auburn and Alabama and other schools don't make the news for small stuff is their cops are there to help not get their name in the paper. I've been given a ride from and Auburn cop twice when I was drunk and underage. They don't care and genuinely want to help. They also want to keep the football team out of the headlines.

As hard as Penn State tried to vet the players they recruited once we entered the information age the number of team related arrested quadrupled between let's say 1995 to 2005.

I do not think the kids recruited were 4 times more thugish as much as I think the Po-Po became 4 times more aware we had entered a new world order and they needed to cover their asses.

I think this can go too far. I'm all for sweeping small stuff under like traffic tickets, etc.

There are some schools where the popo absolutely love to bust athletes, UF and UGa are two of the worst. But I also see both of those schools playing way more dirty type football and it never used to be that way. I think Richt and Meyer are both a couple of pussies who can't control their teams. We will see if Muschamp changes things at UF. I am about 50-50 on him doing it. Richt will never get Uga under control. Georgia fans know it and most of the ones I hear from do not like that crap at all. That stuff has been going on forever at miami and fsu, but not Fla and Ga and neither fanbase likes it. I totally empathize with dawg fans.

Just saying that everyone who worships at the Dooley altar or the Butts altar should go back and look at their year by year wins-losses You might be quite surprised.

Not a Richt lover per se, but can clearly see how utterly ridiculous the UGA contingent on this particular board has become. I bet you guys are hoping that a frickwit like Santorum takes up residence in the White House as well.
