It's so funny you posted that 2nd picture dallas, not even 1 hour ago I found that pic online and texted it to my buddy. He's shirtless up in the tree.

Geez, I completely forgot about those damned pine trees in left field. It was hilarious watching people clamber up into them to watch the game and try to catch a Beckham Bomb.

That Georgia-Ga.Tech score reminds me of 1996 when we beat Ga.Tech at the old Box to advance to the CWS. We scored 18 runs in one inning and won 29-16.....

There may be nothing sweeter on any playing field than beating Tech in a baseball regional to advance to the Supers. Just an uncomparably sweet feeling.

RIP Kudzu hill. The stadium looks great but the Kudzu Hill part made me kind of depressed.
I think it was Mack Williams (the guy who did the cartoons for the Red&Black) used to bring a megaphone and read the personal bio's of the opposing outfielders over that thing. God, it was it hilarious.

I have no idea what the guy's last name was, but the NC State right fielder was named Matt. And, ho-lee-frick did they lay into the guy during the last day of the Super Regional. IIRC, they even found out the name of his girlfriend and had an impersonator break up with him via the megaphone. I think the guy actually dropped a fly ball or two that game. It was the best day watching baseball I have ever had.

Now those are good times, right there. We used to full on tailgate for baseball games. Doesn't seem like kids do that as much these days. Probably because we suck, and they tore up a big chunk of Kudzu Hill back in 2003.

Looks nice, but still needs about 5 grand stands to equal the Baum. Going to be even more redic when they add boxes in right field and the fountain/concourse in center.
I will say that Kudzu hill looks legit, they could have done something cooler and left it. Suites behind home are dope too.

Left field at Baum was the same between 2008-2012, you could just straight roll a cooler in full of beers, no questions asked. Not sure if that is still allowed since I moved.
I really like how closed proximity UGAs field is. Almost like a downtown major league stadium with the trees etc. Super cool how its right in a neighborhood.

I miss the days when you could show up with your dog, a cooler full of beer, some varsity, and just chill on the hill. Now that they've fixed it up, UGA should do the right thing and sell the right field are formerly known as Kudzu Hill to the greenhouse so we can go back t the good ol' days.

Me too, without question. In fact that day was one of my top 5 memories in my entire time in Athens.

It is my goal in life to make enough money that I can one day buy one of the nice houses on University Drive barely a block away so I can walk to games at my leisure.

If I ever strike it rich, I'm pulling a Kim Basinger and donating a shite ton of money to UGA for them to expand Foley and build a new basketball arena

Totally. I'm going to demand that they make Foley the tits, complete with a permit from the city that Pinecrest be shut down every Saturday during the home schedule so that food trucks can park along the street outside Kudzu Hill and the stadium and that Rutherford be covered in brick pavers and the TV trucks park up there so we can expand down the left field line.
Id also pay off all the right people to get that goddamn rail line that runs through campus bought and transformed into a light rail system that connect Downtown to South Milledge and maybe even Watkinsville.
I'd also throw my big ol money dick around to have East Campus Rd tunneled beneath a platform for the light rail system that would connect directly to the main level concourse at Sanford, thereby allowing passengers easy access to and from bars and south campus before and after games, as well as easy access to Reed Alley and Tate during the week.
Give me the money and I'll class up the Classic City.

I was at the green house that day in certifiably rare form yet somehow I remember every second of it. So much awesome.
