Earl Grant would be a good hire. I don't get this aversion to hiring young mid-major coaches.

The Earl Grant idea at least has some basis in reality, but why on Earth would Jonas Hayes be a preferred option?

Because Georgia has a terrible history at picking the winners.

Good recruiter with contacts in Atlanta and if it works out would probably stay with the program instead of using us as a stepping stone.

The guy was the 3rd assistant on a failed staff. There are lots of college basketball coaches with Atlanta contacts who are good recruiters and are more qualified to run a power 5 program.

If he hadn't played at UGA, no one would mention him.

Hope he comes to UGA. College basketball is so odd in that you have to root for your rival conference members to be good in order to consistently make the tournament. The only reason Bama is in this year is we got to play two neutral site top 25 RPI games in the SEC tourney. If Auburn and aTm are their typical 80-120 level RPI we are not even close to being in the tournament.

The coaches of your two favorite schools are Billy Kennedy and Steve Alford. Not sure why you're laughing at us.

We're hiring Crean. Woj just tweeted that we're finalizing a deal with him.
