Stones and glass houses and all that jazz. Amazing how well Nick Marshall could run the read option considering he couldn't read.

For fricks sake, are you really harping on this same old horseshite?
Are you actually trying to tell us UGA has lower standards than AU for athletes?
GTFO!
Nick Fairly had his grades changed SEVEN times on his HS transcript and was cleared to play at AU as freshman but the "mistake" was caught the NCAA clearing House and he ended up going to JC
Had Pickens signed with AU there's NO DOUBT he'd be on your sideline Saturday.

All those wins and no national championship.
Our personal achievements aren’t your concern. Auburn vs Georgia and Auburn’s personal achievements are all that should matter to you.

Every school in America has different requirements for football players than regular students, are you really thinking that's somehow unique to UGA
Exactly, UGA is on the same academic level as most every other school with a major football program. It’s funny how UGA fans tell themselves UGA academics are somehow superior.

Now you're jumbling up your talking points. Get yourself together man. Our academic requirements FOR FOOTBALL PLAYERS are I assume on par with every other big football school coast to coast. Our REGULAR requirements for normal students is no "on the same level", and is certainly ahead of Auburn.
I'm not sure why this topic has riled you up and so utterly confused you, it's really not difficult.

Well...they are. By just about every conceivable metric.

This is a worn out topic on here, but larger pool for UGA to choose from, and UGA has around 10k more applicants and twice the state population. UGA fans so touchy on the academics topic, despite being 3rd in academics in their own state.

it is, and I didn't bring the topic up. Just correcting your terrible inaccuracies.

so what's your point? The end result (UGA being a better school than AU) is still the same, you can come up with whatever factors you want to justify it but why does it matter?

That'll happen when you share a state with tech and emory, don't pretend like AU wouldn't be in the same boat. Hell if those schools were in alabama, AU might barely only crack the top 5 in your state.

If there's one iron-clad rule of sports gambling it's that you never bet for or against Auburn. (Except when they come to Baton Rouge.)

Auburn players were apparently not too impressed by the atmosphere during their 20-14 victory against Ole Miss. Safety Jeremiah Dinson, who stood on the sidelines battling a virus Saturday, gave the "energy" at the stadium a "thumbs down" in a tweet, which led to a couple of responses and takes from fellow teammates on Twitter after the game.
"Starting to question what Auburn fans are cheering for now," linebacker K.J. Britt tweeted after the game.
Auburn's student section began to empty at halftime, with many of the upper portion of the south end zone stands empty in the fourth quarter as the Tigers were holding off an Ole Miss rally.

Got love that this thread devolved into a academics discussion maybe its offers us perspective on why these two storied programs have so few titles in our history.
