No doubt. However, I don't fear Marshall in UGA's offense. If Marshall was in UF's offense when Meyer was here, he would be lethal.

Crowell comes in the fall right? Which means, IMO, that Malcome and King will get the bulk of the carries early. Then, IMO Malcome and Crowell take over mid to late.

richt has been adamant about the possibility that crowell starts. he rarely does this right out of the gate but richt knows whats at stake and the star power may be necessary. i really thought he'd get first carry and split time with ealey and then work on to malcome. now i think it will be crowell and king and then malcome will take over. king is their basically because he is experienced

It sucks about Ealey simply from a quality depth perspective. He does have a shitty attitude, but he was pretty talented.

eh i really think we can be fine without him. i really see malcome being a stud.

and marshall, crowell, malcome has potential to be one helluva triumvirate

I like Crowell's upside the best. Marshall could be good, but I think he would be better in an offense like AU's. I thought Marshall was ranked too low in the initial Rivals 100 though. Malcome could be a stud.

Richt could have Walter Payton, Emmitt Smith, and Tony Dorsett in the same backfield and still manage to frick it up.

I don't know who will start the first game, but Crow will definitely get his share of carries in the first game. At least 10 I would imagine.

Saint Mark sold his frickin' soul this year and made promises up the ying-yang to high school players to save his job.

bama runs the frickin' ball like a champ. Auburn runs the frickin' ball like a champ. Uga is where running backs go to die under Richt.

And the best RB in the country choose to play for St. Mark.

Yeah... he better hope the "Dream Team" is everything they've been hyped to be or there is gonna be biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig arse trouble in River City for ol' St. Marky Mark.

Crowell better be the real deal or this is the first straw in getting rid of him this year. Releasing a junior for a guy who has not even gotten on campus yet...ballsy.

Who are you talking about specifically under Richt?

Lumpkin- highly rated and tore his leg all up. Ended up with a solid career though not spectacular.

King- tore his leg up even worse than Lumpkin before even getting on campus. Had attitude (and intelligence) problems for 2 years.

Samuel? He was a 5* at athlete, not at RB. James Wilder's career is going to mirror Samuels too. He wants to play RB so they (we) oblige him, then realize his natural position is LB and move him.

Who else? The only other really highly ranked RB we got under Richt was Knowshon, who is one of the best RBs in the SEC this decade. Other guys who had some nice accolades in HS that came here like Thomas Brown, Danny Ware, Musa, etc. all did what they were expected to; have nice careers. They all did fine for what they were expected to do.

We didn't release Washaun to make room for Crowell.

Its not really Richt's fault. Every dumbass on the street wants to label any decent UGA back as the next Herschel. There will never be another Herschel.

If Crowell didnt sign with UGA, does Washaun get released today?

Three 1000 yd rushers.

In ten years.

And I have my doubts whether you'll have one this year.

Richt does not like to run the ball.

Richt likes to throw the ball.

UGa under Richt is the running back graveyard.

And how many of them were top 5 type RBs in high school. The expression "where RBs go to die" strongly implies that all these RBs were 5*, top 5 in their class guys that flopped, which isn't the case. If we get a mid-level 4 star and he rushes for about 800 yards, I'm happy.

And as mentioned, the 2 highest ranked RBs we've signed under Richt both ruined their legs very early in their careers. That's not Richt's fault.

Since 2001 I would bet our run/pass ratio is somewhere around 55/45. We are VERY balanced as an offense and have been for Richt's entire tenure. If we've thrown the ball more than we've run it during his career I would be very surprised.

Yet other schools get non-Top-5 RBs and are able to get 1000 yds out of them in a season.

And Richt cannot. He'd prefer to dance Murray out there in his tutu and throw the ball then cry when he gets hit.

I hope Isiah Crowell enjoys his two years at The Graveyard.

If Washaun wasn't in Richt's doghouse for months, never got in trouble with the law, and could keep his damn head on straight, would he be released?

If this was simply a matter of making room why didn't we release him the day after signing day? The fact is if Washaun had the same attitude as Carlton Thomas he'd still be on the team.
