That's not a rule..
You can't start making noise and shite in certain lots that are close to student housing. Where I park and where I tailgate (2 different places) we get there before 7 sometimes and get cranking and it's not a problem. Most of the "tailgate rules" that you see at UGA are strictly confined to north campus. Not everywhere.

And while we're on the subject, UGA is partly to blame for that mess that you saw. Obviously people should take personal responsibility, but some people are dumb. I always brought trash bags. Most around me did too. But prior to 2010, UGA would set out trash cans like 100 yards apart and come get them on Sunday. WTF do you expect to happen over the course of a 12+ hour day?

We should have just hired people to make rounds every 30 minutes checking garbage cans, putting out new cans, picking up trash, etc. We had a lot of idiots but I guarantee you it wouldn't have got to the level it did if UGA tried to make a preventative effort. It sucks that that area is now ruined for everybody like myself, but hopefully it'll get better in the future.

im not judging. that shite happens everywhere. my spot was spotless when i left saturday night. go back sunday morning to get my car and it was trashed. fricking bums rip open all the bags and just dump them on the ground and rummage through.
lot of people are just lazy and dirty at lsu, but we also have the 3am scavengers that lsu doesnt bother to account for. they just blame the fans for the mess and jack up parking prices to cover it.

AU put out cans all over campus a few years ago. Italways fills and overflows but ym group and the ones around are real responsible. Honestly, and this is no shot, but I have never seen a scene like that pic at Auburn in 15 years.

I haven't either, there's no excuse for it. During that era north campus was where the overwhelming majority of non-greek students tailgated, so obviously there were going to be dumbasses. Now they've moved to meyers. They just couldn't handle having a big home night game and they ruined it for everyone.

I'll be perfectly honest, I don't know enough about tailgating there to give a solid answer because I've only strolled through once. I tailgate pretty far away from there. I will say, that from what I remember, it's not nearly as mixed/blended as north campus. There will likely be a good bit of LSU fans set up on north campus, but Meyers is like 95% students. I'm sure they'd welcome your crew in and give you beer and shoot the shite, but as far as setting up tents and grilling and all that shite, I simply don't know enough about the situation to tell you.
Like I posted on the other page, that tiny dirt triangle was all LSU fans in 09, but I don't know if they parked there the night before. That's also an area where there aren't any "rules" so if yall started partying at 7 nobody would say anything.

Negative. There were cops EVERYWHERE running down people trying to set up prior to 11:30. So assuming this is a 3:30 game, anytime before 10:30 is a no go on North Campus.

do you tailgate on NC? I wondered how strictly it was going to enforced, even though that asshat jimmy williamson said it would be. Guess I'll continue to tailgate elsewhere this year.

I did for the Auburn game two years ago. I didnt see anybody enforcing anything, but it was also relatively calm. We had a stereo and tables set up, but the radio wasnt on blast
