A non-student crashed a pool party and shot some folks. How is that Auburn's fault?
It involved Auburn football players. I mean how is it Georgia's fault that the crash happened? If it was not Auburn's fault then you will have a hard time putting blame on Georgia.
None involved were on an official school activity. Georgia students were involved and Auburn students were involved.
If you want to twist then so can I.

I know this is going to rile up some Auburn fans, but they should look closely in the mirror.
Authorities said Lutzenkirchen, 23, was ejected from a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe when it overturned several times near LaGrange early Sunday morning. He was a passenger in the vehicle.
By all accounts Lutzenkirchen was a good kid, and Auburn fans love him. But Georgia fans feel the same about Devin Willock, and yet you try to throw his incident out there for troll points. Apparently Auburn has a problem!
Not funny, huh?

Well, to be fair it was reported this way too.
Really? Ouch! I thought they clearly said it was a booster. That said, people do tend to equate boosters with a university, so I get your point.
All that said....no. It isn't fun.

For frick's sake. UGA should be grateful they don't share a state and media system with bama. The AJC has nothing on al.com's constant trashing of Auburn.
He ain’t lying.

The "onus" of reading a 9 page letter? It's not a 46 page indictment full of legalese. It's a fricking letter, guy.
Right, we agree. It's just a little letter and a little article. I don't know why you are getting so twisted up here. I am not on the side of the AJC.
So copy and paste the lies, and copy and past the proof. With links to the sources please. Should be easy for a smart guy like you who probably reads 100 books a week.
Otherwise it is just another example of how the press can twist things without getting in trouble under the protection of the 1st amendment.
I don't like it any more than you do. But there isn't going to be anything that comes of it. At best a tepid admission of an inaccuracy or two on the third page of the paper.

In today's environment? you make a good point.
True story. Years ago I worked in radio. we had a news report come over the teletype hinting that tensions were boiling over and unrest was imminent. (This came from the AP or UPI, I can't remember, and was a nationwide story) I thought it strange I had not heard anything about it, so I went down to the news offices and asked one of the reporters.
He said that there was monthly NAACP meeting being held that night, but nothing out of the ordinary. Slow news day, so the AP (or UPI) had decided to create the news. This was in the mid 1970's....probably around 1977.
My brief time in newspapers, same shite. Slow news day, call the Red Cross and ask how much blood supply they have. About 3 weeks (normal). Headline: "Local Red Cross Down to Only 3 Week Blood Supply!".
I didn't last long in that business once I got to see it for what it actually was. I was young and cavalier and wanted to be an intrepid journalist and uncover dirt on bad people bad government bad whatever. Such a young dumb person I was. The real business weeds out honest objective people very quickly. Those that really fall into it are bad people.

People here are probably gonna think UGA is scared or other such message board nonsense, but when you actually read that 9 page letter it's pretty eye opening. This is not even close to jsut "the local paper is reporting bad stuff abotu us and we don't like it", and is more so "this paper is blatantly making things up or intentionally misrepresenting facts to conjure up a story where one doesn't really exist".
They can't cry about the Braves moving any more since the Battery has been a smashing success so they had to move on to something else.

So the high speed chase was off to the side of campus rather than through it. OK, that is factually incorrect. It is also not that big of a deal imo. But it is inaccurate. I will agree on that. The press does this shite all the time, and I hope you do drag them into court.
That said, it isn't a game changer that the guy was involved in a high speed chase by the Athens police.

Yeah I am really not trying to troll deeprig. I cannot stand the press and they do shite like this all the time.
I just don't see you getting much of anything out of it. But I am wrong a lot, so this could be another case of that.

Why do that when the letter does exactly what you're asking for, but you're just too lazy to read it.

The letter literally notes the incident report stating that it occurred on the Loop (highway around Athens), the athlete was not aware he was being followed by police, and the cop wasn’t behind the athlete’s car with lights on. How is that a high speed chase?
Since you’ll ask for the evidence, see below:
quote:
On February 24, 2023, Mr. Judd reported sensationally that a”star football player for the University of Georgia allegedly led a police officer on a high-speed chase through the Athens campus on Jan. 10. In fact, police records in the AJC’s possession showed that the alleged “pursuit” occurred on the bypass outside of Athens, not through campus; the student-athlete was not aware he was being pursued; and “at no point was [the officer] directly behind [the] vehicle with his lights or sirens activated.” Hardly a “high-speed chase through campus.”

You are missing the big picture- no high speed chase ever occurred! Much less on campus. Judd literally making up bullshite and AJC printing it.

OK wait.
So there was no speeding at all? No chase at all? And they were even in the city of Athens?
Yeah that guy must have gone to UF j-school.
