He made zero effort to rectify us playing at Auburn back to back, and before the argument of "but the schedule rotations are already set!" Florida and lsu made it work a few years ago when a storm displaced the game and they had to go 2/2 instead of 1/1.

... First let me say, I in no way am a McGarity apologist here... but this criticism is laughable. The 2 things simply are not the same. UF/LSU made the *elective* decision to go 2/2 in order to remain on the same rotation as everyone else but also fairly distribute their home/away games due to a game that had to be moved. The UGA/Auburn game wasn't a *temporary* fix... it was a permanent move made by the SEC in order to accommodate expansion. The only "fix" for it, would have been to have 5/3 home-away ratios for Auburn and UGA for the full rotation... There was maybe a world where at the end of rotation he could have pushed for Auburn to make a temporary adjustment in one of the final 2 years in order to balance things out, but it's unreasonable to say it's McGarity's fault that he couldn't force Auburn to agree to something that would have been objectively worse for both teams. The alternative from the SEC was essentially to cancel the permanent west-east rivalries of UT/UA, UGA/AU, UF/LSU (along with several others that neither team cares about).

The better fix was in front of the SEC all along anyway (Roommate Switch for the 9 millionth time dammit!) but we weren't interested in being the pioneers of better football scheduling.

On the other hand, he deserves every bit of criticism he receives for bending over and letting the SEC move the Auburn game to earlier in the season. Simply put, there is no reasonable excuse that has been made public. He tried telling fans that "the alternatives were all so much worse" but frankly, if they were, he should have said what they were, because it would have put the SEC office on notice that we're not going to just put up with continual shite. Since he didn't, I can only assume that he was full of shite and there was no reason to move the game other than him being a giant doormat.

What's up Fib? How have you been?

Doing ok my friend. Had second kiddo at the beginning of October, several weeks earlier than expected, so some time in NICU, but she's doing great. Wife had to have emergency surgery, but she's recovering well also. Other than that, just living the dream/nightmare of 2020.

I mean, if you seriously think that if they switched jobs, Kirby would have you in a better place than Mullen, well.

Kirby got further in 2 years than MuLLLen has in his entire career. I wouldn’t want MuLLLen and his 2-22 record against teams that finish with more than 9 wins.

quote is from a guy that whined and cried about all those injuries to players for the last three years. And also cried over the 10 or 12 criminals that got suspended for credit card fraud and identity theft.
Sanctimonious a-hole.

Ya, we all watched what coach bowl cut did with Richt's recruits. All those recruiting titles, and zero NC's to show for it. Anytime CBC runs up against a team with equal talent, not only does UGAly lose, they lose BADLY
