I just don't get why he would fly out to Los Angeles bc he wants to talk to ucla personally if he signed with florida already? It makes zero sense.

My guess is that Chip Kely is seriously interested in Florida and may have been ready to commit. As a result, boosters got excited and started leaking.
But then, boom, UCLA opens up which is probably a better fit for Kelly. Now Kelly is backing off Florida.

Especially if Florida flew up to New Hampshire.
This whole thing seems weird.
McElwain was there for 2.5 seasons, won the division in his first two seasons, and was fired halfway through his third, with 19 guys hurt or suspended, and now Florida thinks they can hire whoever they want? Nobody wants to work in that kind of environment.
Or.... Or is Florida saying it is the shark frick thing?
This has to be a conversation between the candidates and the administration...
There's no way this topic doesn't come up, and with agents in the room, it gets explicit.
